Fixed the projected lineup. Thanks. He's not necessarily sitting. We will see at morning skate today. But it wouldn't hurt him to sit a game or two. He's struggled, especially defensively.

February is huge. Need to ring off some wins or we will be turning our attention to picks and prospects in selling. Lots of division and conference games.

I was BRUTAL on Jake through the early stretch of the season. He wasn't playing well and I wasn't kind to him.

HOWEVER!!!

He has turned his game around and he deserves credit for that.

I am not sure why rj doesnt sit in favor of Weal, it seems like a no lose situation.

Might be a slight overreaction here. We don't know yet what the lineup will be, and if Laughton sits, not really a big deal. Sitting for a few games could benefit him.

hopefully its just to let kid collect his thoughts....I can't see sitting a young player for Umberger either....If its more then a game, get him back to Lehigh Valley

Not sure of the waiver rules, but if he is exempt, does it make more sense to send him down for a few games and gain his confidence back with some extended minutes down there? Or do you see this as something he can work through on the big club getting the minutes he's been receiving?

Could you help me with something? I understand what Umberger and Vandevelde bring but if the Flyers are going to make one last push for a playoff spot, wouldn't you want to at least try to upgrade your bottom 6 if possible. Colin McDonald is playing well in the AHL and I know he has a different roll with the FLyers but when he was up he seemed to create more then what either Umberger and Vandevelde are giving.

You also have Weal sitting, who is an unknown, but has more skill and speed then Umberger.

My point is that if they are really going to make a push then why wouldn't you want to give your self the best chance to do it.

either way, putting Raffl on that "4th" line will really help, IMO.

the next couple of weeks will certainly determine that. let's see if they can rise to the occasion or not. while i'd like to get another high pick, it would be really fun to see them in the playoffs again. you kind of take for granted how much fun making the playoffs every year is, regardless of where they finish. I'd love to see them get in. I believe that's where a team really comes together and bonds. I think it would be better for the team to get in this year and head into next season with the bar a little higher.

You're assuming that Colin MacDonald and Weal gives them a better chance to make a push, than playing Umberger and Vandevelde.
