????
For taking a check to the back of the head?
Or throwing a weak punch perfectly placed? I have seen Simmonds hit Flyers in playful swats harder than he hit McDonagh.
I'm not thrilled with the whole tantrum stick throw at the end but I was pretty hot and I'd expect him to be as well...

Classic distraction tactic. Wants Simminds to fight him next game instead of McDonagh because we all know how that one would end. White can fight Glass instead(after Gudas demolishes him with a big hit).
More Tanner Glass on Sunday vs. Simmonds: "...you’ve just got to let him know it’s not going to be tolerated. … He’ll know." #Rangers #nyr
.#Rangers' Tanner Glass ready to fight Flyers' Simmonds Sun. re McDonagh punch: "He’s been in enough altercations to know that it’s coming." - jmatchett383

Well, I don't think McDonagh will be playing, so I doubt he'd be fighting Simmonds. Also, if Gudas went to hit Glass, Glass would plow right through him. And White would get wrecked by Glass.

Of course, he'll magically recover to play in the next game

As much as I want to see Simmonds put him on his back...I really hope he doesnt let someone like Glass drag him into the box for 5 minutes
Coots is out for a month though so (frank) it...lets let all hell break loose

did McDonagh do anything to instigate this?
the footage i saw started with simmonds giving him a wack across the back of the legs. not great, but not exactly something that doesnt happen. but it appeared like the kind that is a hey (frank)er dont do that again thing. and then the little paw to the face. i mean i guess if youre not expecting it, it doesnt take much to knock a guy out, but its not like he leaped and teed off on him. simmonds really isnt that kind of dude

Right before Simmonds slashed him, McDonagh sticked him in the head.

Simmer is shaking in his boots.
If Glass has to show Simmer that what he did is not allowed, then a called up Sam Morin should show McD, whenever he's in, that what he did is not allowed. Because...logic.

Honestly, if the roles were reversed and this were, say, Kreider on Ghost, we'd probably feel the same way. I'd hope we wouldn't have a goon calling Kreider out publicly, though.

He has a concussion history too. - Mononoke
I get all the rangers hate and the games we play as fans, but if a guy is really (frank)ed up from a hit, that sucks. I've seen what both players did happen multiple times over the years of watching hockey. It's hard to believe there is such outrage either way, tbh.

i didnt. wasnt trying to be a smart ass. i had the game on while i was on the treadmill at the gym but my visuals werent exactly that great. i could see the scrum and ejection and whatnot.
then when i got home and wanted to check it out, all the little snippets started right about when simmonds slashed his legs. but again, i understand how people can either intentionally or inadvertently portray things simply by deciding when to start and stop the show.

i know im a wussy pens fan and all, but the best way to show a guy what they did is not allowed is for the league to suspend them. but we all know that really wouldnt happen.
im honestly surprised simmonds didnt get suspended simply due to the fact that mcdonagh is injured, with the ass backwards way the NHL evaluates things.

I mean we don't have any goons, so there's that. And Kreider would never fight, so there's that. Simmer probably will.
But I do agree if the roles were reversed. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't like to see star players with concussion histories suffer more unnecessary concussions. He deserved a rabbit punch for what he did or tried to do to Simmer, but he didn't deserve a concussion. I'm not celebrating that he got one.
