So Erhoff is on waivers. Since he's only signed for this season at a relatively cheap price, why not pick him up? While he's struggled in LA this year, he's been solid for most of his career, can't see how giving him an audition here would do us any lasting damage - BiggE
Because we have other guys that need to get their shots. I dont know if its age, concussions, or a combination but he really hasnt been any good since he was in Buffalo |

Exactly.. With the TDL coming up, and pretty much no shot at us making the playoffs (barring an amazing winning streak) we should be looking to sell, and seeing what some of the young guys can do with increased ice time.
Also, would like to see Alt get a bit of time with the big club. Also Morin if possible. |

I'm not opposed to it. I don't think it necessarily makes us any better or worse. At best, he's a solid contributor and helps us make the playoffs or can be moved for a conditional pick at the TDL. At worst, he stinks and we waive his ass leaving only the pro-rated $550K on the cap.
That said, the Kings chose to waive him over Luke Schenn despite the fact that Schenn leaves them with less cap space to make moves the rest of the year. So just think about that. |

What you're not realizing is that the picture was taken in the home of a frost giant and the table is 800 feet long. In reality, the Cthurkey is approximately 280 tons and stands at a height of 170 feet. |

Alt moreso than Morin. Since we need to know if Alt should be resigned. Morin has his ELC to go.
I'd also like Straka and Leier up for the post TDL games. |

Yes. Much like VLC, the Kings are able to utilize him well. However, even on that stacked team, Ehrhoff stinks. |

My thought was, play him every game between now and the deadline. If he plays well, his low cap hit might make him tradeable, if not, you waive him. Either way, you risk nothing and he just might land you a mid round pick |

Yeah, he's an expiring asset that might have minimal value. But how would we find a spot for him when we have such a deep blue line filled with:
Gostisbehere
MDZ
2 old men well past their primes
A maddeningly inconsistent Russian
An AHL All Star who's at best a 6/7
A penalty and turnover machine |

What is there to think about? Erhoff has played bad pretty much all year for them while Schenn has not. Clearly schenn helps them.
Schenn playing 18 minutes or so a night and playing well. So why would the kings waive him? |

Because many people on here wanted Schenn gone. We was a mediocre player on a bad team. On a team like LA, they have depth to insulate a player and use him effectively. The fact that LA was unable to insulate Ehrhoff means that, if people didn't like Schenn on this team, they'll like Ehrhoff even less. |

I like your idea.
I would have loved to grab Gormley off waivers. Former first round pick who hasn't really developed but I thought he would be worth the risk.
What's the worst that could happen? He plays as well as Manning? |

Yeah but we are already trying to do that with Streit/Schultz/Medvedev arent we? Not enough spots to go around. I agree with you, it is a free asset at almost no risk...but I really dont think it ends up mattering much at all
I am not even that surprised he apparently hasnt been claimed yet. Every dollar matters for the teams up against the cap and as they get ready for the deadline, it doesnt seem like they want to take on even 1.5 million prorated |

Not entirely true. Erhoff just didn't fit with them. Not saying he will fit here. He will help the right team a little is my guess. |

As long as he's not taking time away from Akeson and Lauridsen. |

I wouldn't mind Erholf in the sense that if he plays well maybe you get him on another 1 year deal. But I would only want him if we could move streit. If not then I feel they are kind of redundant. |

No real room for him unless they are willing to cut the cord with Mevedead or Schultz. Erhoff would need to play and not so sure the Flyers would be willing to do that. |
