So Erhoff is on waivers. Since he's only signed for this season at a relatively cheap price, why not pick him up? While he's struggled in LA this year, he's been solid for most of his career, can't see how giving him an audition here would do us any lasting damage - BiggE
We don't have an open roster spot so we'll have to trade Brandon "ManDog" Manning for him.
See ya, Barf. |

No real room for him unless they are willing to cut the cord with Mevedead or Schultz. Erhoff would need to play and not so sure the Flyers would be willing to do that. - furio16
I see Erhoff more of a Streit type just younger.

I am kind of excited to see what happens at the TDL. While the Flyers don't really have high end players to move they do have depth players that they can move and bring picks or maybe b type prospects back(example: Weal).

While he is younger...they actually have the same years of service in the NHL |

Need gameday blob so we can all start the doom and gloom of the Flyers playing a team they should beat. |

I know.
After thinking about it I would have rather grabbed Gormley when he was on waivers. Would have taken a shot at the potential. |

I think we have enough potential in the pipeline...Flyers need to focus on trimming fat, not packing it on |

How many points do the Flyers need for them to still be considered a playoff possibility?
Right now they are 6 pts back of the wildcard. If they are double figures back after the Rangers game do we begin allowing some youth to play? |

If they were closer to competing yes but at this time no.
He is going to cost a good amount in FA. |

Not really. I like him and his game, but he's 31 and he's prob trying to cash out on one last contract. |

I think Backes will go to Edmonton for huge, Kesler-type contract,
I would rather go after Nielsen who should be cheaper. |

He's only 24 I think.
Not like he is some vet. Plus he is a RFA so if he didn't pan out you wouldn't have to resign him.
I think he would be the same low risk-high reward type like Del Zotto was. |

Except Del Zotto actually showed a high ceiling. What has Gormley shown besides having a fanboy in Tanner?
There will come a time in the near future where we have too many players that belong in the NHL and not enough spots for them (knocks on wood). I understand wanting to add value to the organization, but is it really worth anything if he or another of our prospects is just going to sit in the press box? |

That's never a problem.
That allows you to make a move to add to a spot of weakness.

He is more that type, I agree. Just saying there isn't much room for him unless you get rid of someone. Those 2 plus manning are the likely choices I think to move or move on from; then create a spot for Erhoff. They may want to hold onto Streit as there is no inclination of him even being moved. |

That's my pick.
There are 3 FA I would look at.
Jason Demers
Boedkker
Stamoks
and maybe guys like Troy Brouwer or Shawn Matthias if cheap 1 year deal.

Its like Del Zotto.
If he plays well then he becomes an asset for your team or maybe next TDL.

I wonder how much Boedker would command. Raise or similar cap to his current 3.75 mil. He'd be a nice LW for line 1 or 2 depending where Jake sticks for next yesr |

Fair enough I just dont think every 24 year old former first round pick turns into a solid defenseman...Del Zotto actually showed he had the ability before he turned it around for the Flyers |
