He's a good guy, I have no doubt. Just because I'd like him scratched doesn't mean I can't feel for him as a human being. It felt like hapless Charlie Brown knocking a 50 yarder through.

Now, VDV, I feel for you as a human being.....BUT....

Exactly. Me too.

A performance like the one Cousins put on tonight might get Laughton traded...

Flyers really Forest Gumped their way through this one. What was with all the dumb penalties, one after the other?
- SuperSchennBros

the only big positive to take away from tonight is at least they imposed their will on a lesser team

Remember when a bunch of you guys were all like "LETZ HAVE LAUGHTON TAKE COUTURIER'S ROLE! ITZ NOT THAT HARD, AMIRITE?"

Ugh.

Exactly!

He's not trying to be terrible, for crissakes.

- johndewar

You think Vinny meant to be terrible? This is such a huge double nonsense standard. You guys spoke like Vinny should be cleaning toilets with his tongue after games were over at Wells Fargo. Now Vinny is playing well enough to contribute in LA but everything is so dissected around here, what he's doing in LA limitations and all, still isn't good enough.

Give me break. No really, give me a break!

Who are you pointing at? I was the guy complaining how long it took for him to become a regular under his own merit.

Totally. It beat watching them lose to a team that's not that much less talented than them.

That Buffalo team has some decent talent. They quit hard when it got to 2 - 0. When Simmer scored, you knew it was over.

Seriously.

Laughton, for his struggles, is second on the team in even strength points per 60. One good game, a player gets anointed. One bad game, he is trash. Welcome to Philadelphia sports haha. See Mason, Steve.

Look, I don't think Laughton is a bust or anything, but everyone underestimates Couturier.

Couturier is a possession machine and has played with ham and eggers with most, if not all, of his career.

How's Matt Read doing with Sean Couturier these days?

I actually believe Matt Read is the best player on his line. I think Read's last goal assisted by Laughton was a week ago.

It was a helluva pass.

I like Laughton. But the notion he's gonna take the spot of a dude who can lock down the other team's top line AND keep the puck for us...c'mon, stop.

Folks forget that Cooter had mono in his draft year and hung big numbers in the Q in a year where some were touting him as the top NA skater.
