Ya know I feel bad when people rip on ek, he's got a great layout / structure of the website, but his "rumors" are literally comical at times. They make ZERO sense at times. He had the stars in on reimer (I think), the stars have niemi and lehtonen... 2 NHL quality starters. Sure-they're no holtby, price, or lundqvist, but they're still NHL starters and would make zero sense for the stars to trade for James reimer..

EK reports rumours not predictions. 90% of rumours turn out to be nothing at all. It has nothing to do witha blind squirrel. He is in the business of rumours and rumours are not meant to be taken seriously just like in high school. A source is likely just some no named employee who works in the building who over hears things from team reps or other employees.

Anyone hoping we're in on Drouin is going to be highly disappointed.

While I think that there are other GMs that are willing to go more "all in" on a guy like drouin...I think the return will be slightly underwhelming. It is a very interesting situation because on one hand we see the lack of value trading high upside guys (kessel, seguin, etc) but we also saw what Yzerman got for St Louis (thanks sather)

Love Drouin's talent. Love the thought of him on the LW with Giroux and Voracek. Hate the stuff he's pulling in Tampa. Hate a bidding war for him.

Odds are I'll be mad if the Flyers get him because of what it'll cost. I think my best offer would be Morin and a 2nd which likely doesn't get it done and I'd still be hesitant. I really don't like trading for guys who act the way he is.

Theres been 15-20 teams interested this entire time. Flyers are definitely, or were at one point, in the mix.

Tampa is apparently looking for help on the wings and for a right handed dman. Doubt we're ideal trade partners. We'll see.
