Both can. Especially if they are as motivated as they looked last night.
Brayden could have had at least 5 or 6 goals with some luck. The puck seemed to be following him. I swear he got robbed of the fourth last night from the angle we saw that play. - dragonoffrost
I'm expecting Simmonds to have 25 goals by the end of this week. |

I have heard that Snider is dealing with cancer treatment. He's been in California, where he actually resides, and hasn't made many-if any-trips to Philly during this season. It's been discussed and mentioned a little bit before Jim Watson's speech last night, but it really made a lot of folks take notice. Given Snider's age, any major illness is obviously cause for concern.
We all have to be grateful for the gift that Ed Snider gave us 50 years ago. For all his faults, they are faults born out of a desire to win. He not only gave us the Flyers, he gave us a family. The foundation he laid, the organization he built and maintained, despite the Cup drought, has been as close to a gold standard as exists in sports.
Snider built the team, his own buildings, a fanbase and grew the sport in the Delaware Valley. His fingerprints are all over everything the organization has done over the past 5 decades. Hopefully he gets through his current issues and gets to see a third Flyers Stanley Cup - Jsaquella
When the time comes, love him or hate him now...make fun of him or not. He's going to be missed and considered the greatest owner of any Philly sports team. |

I don't.
He'll get paid fairly no matter what happens.
I want him to have as much confidence even if it is going into an offseason. Scoring 30 would show he can play at that level and be something to really build on next season as they continue to step forward. - J35Bacher

this time of year, if there is any hopes to making the playoffs, the team's best players have to be the best players. Simmonds, Schenn, Giroux, Couturier etc need to have a strong two weeks without Jake and then continue that play once he gets back into the lineup |

So I know I am getting ahead of myself, but I feel the Flyers need another solid top 6 forward. How much is Lucic going to demand on the open market. Having him and Simmonds on the roster make like a living hell for opponents to deal with. - flyers2001
i brought this up earlier too but got some detractors to Lucic. Pros and cons on both sides. dont love lucic, but i like his game. I was real high on lawson crouse in the early part of last year but as provorov kept being thrown around i eventually was on that bandwagon and glad i was. crouse is doing pretty good but provorov i think will be the real deal.
long story short, we need a goal scorer, a guy who will score 30 a year and that has the talent for more. we have so many playmakers on our team, with only schenn and simmonds as our only true goal scorers, one more is a necessity, hopeully konecny can be that guy |

And what happens if he comes back and suffers an ACL injury by chance in Syracuse? He's gone this far. It might look bad but plenty of teams will try to buy low on him and hope to have a very motivated Drouin. - J35Bacher
I mean as a pro athlete, that can't be your mentality to prevent play and experience with the risk of injury. Every player in every sport plays with that risk each game. It's part of the game. I understand doing so IF there was a deal being set up or in serious discussion, which there was at the time he was suspended indefinitely. |

he is, but if he continues to play well there will be times where it doesnt show up on the scoreboard. His play is noticeable both on the ice and on the scoresheet right now |

if you want lucic you have to hope the flyers draft and develop a cooler person that plays like lucic. signing him is paying him for what he has done, not will do |

I'm not counting on a serious run. They've beat some weak teams recently. If you have no expectations, you'll never be dissappointed.
Next year is a whole new ballgame |

maybe...but I'm sure you wouldn't be happy if he scores 30, gets paid 4.5+ and then scores 12 next year |

Schenn was clearly challeneged by Hextall this past summer and is definitely responding. That should make us all happy |

Lucic scored 30 one year. He has a 6 million cap hit so he could be in the 7 range next season.
I would rather go after Stamkos if I am paying money. |

One thing over the past couple weeks or so that I have seen Schenn really improve, as well as this season overall, is his one time shot on the power play. That same shot Hartsy was so money at. For a while, Schenn would attempt it and either miss the puck or shoot completely wide. With how well Jake and G set up the puck, Schenn will have many goals in that spot if he continues to improve his shot and release there |

My expectations were never that high for this season, but they are in a position now and playing well enough to think they have a shot to get in. Once they are in it's just fun to watch. |

Surely. For the most part, the players you wanted to see take steps this year have done just that. Even laughton is looking better on the wing. That's all you can ask for, credit to Hak |

He is going get around 4.5 no matter what. He is probably going to get a deal comparable to Couturier.
Schenn is probably going to be a 20-25 type guy. 30 goals in good season. He will get paid like that. |

4 years seem right. He would hit FA at I believe 27-28 and then try to hit on another deal. |

I think Sons of Penn was the site saying we should trade Schenn for Drouin. - Feanor
It was. The proposal was:
Drouin and Coburn for Schenn, Streit, and a prospect.
The dude who wrote that is an idiot. |

[quote=SuperSchennBros]Wayne Simmonds needs 7 goals in 20 games to achieve the 30 goal mark.
Brayden Schenn needs 9 goals in 20 games to achieve the 30 goal mark.
With Voracek now out for two weeks Schenn will be playing with Giroux and that line looked very good last night, so I think they both have a great chance to score 30. Especially how well Giroux is playing right now.
On another note does Giroux get named to the World Championship Team for Canada? |
