That's part of why guys like Brent and McDonald were added. But the Flyers injury/recalls hurt the Phantoms depth.

If Cousins, Leier, Gostisbehere had all stayed down, and maybe add MacDonald and Laughton to the Phantoms, they probably make the playoffs.

Yeah -- they're probably an average team struggling with everything you mentioned to make them below average. Next year they should get a bundle of talent coming...Fazleev, NAK, Sanheim, perhaps Lindblom. Morin will hopefully make big steps; Hagg could rebound; Stolarz will be backstopping still; don't know if Leier is back; but Martel, Bardreau, Ghoul, McDonald, MacDonald (just kidding, he'll be traded with retained salary), Straka, perhaps Weal.

If they have problems next year...then I'd begin to worry a bit. Not right now though.

no doubt that Vinney has found some fire, he has a fresh start and is having fun. Good on him and the Kings. Flyers will get theirs when vinney takes that $ off the books for next year. With that being said ....keep the foot down on the hawks Wednesday... I for one will be watching.....Go Flyers!

perhaps, BUT the flyers are desperate and generally playing good hockey. i like our chances, especially if jake is back in the lineup.

the hawks are not in serious danger of falling out of a playoff spot with a 14 point lead on minnesota and 12 games to go, so there's really no sense of urgency for them.

Any thoughts on the two kids from UND that are free agents Drake Caggiula and Troy Stetcher....Curious to see how much advantage Flyers would have in signing once their season is done, being former Hakstol players and all.

i think the game tomorrow night will have an impact on the flyers for their game vs. chicago. the wings will be desperate too, after losing 1-0 to the (frank)ing leafs last night.
