We have 9 F, 4D and 1G signed for next year with a cap hit of $47M. If we're gonna be a cap team we have $27M to spend for 3 F, 2 D and a goalie. Assuming Stamkos is one of he forwards at 11, Risto at 5, McCabe at 2 maybe, that would still leave us 9 to spend for a goalie and 2 forwards.

-Salary cap looking to rise by about 2.5 to 74M

-Expansion draft decisions..if one new team, each club will lose one player that hasn't been placed on the exempt list. Will lose two players if two teams are formed. Thinking is, right now, one team will be formed.

Also, exempt parameters are as follows.

Exempt list can be 7F, 3D, 1G or 8 Skaters, 1G

First and Second year pros as well as prospects are exempt. Pros, by definition, is anyone being paid to play.

This is a pretty solid opportunity to offer up Moulson as our best non-exempt player. You wouldn't have to add Sam and Jack to that list.
