Keep your eyes tuned into his Nash's stats rest of his career then you'll see who was right.

Whose biggest weakness happens to be defence? - Sabresfan-365
Lol just like hockey buzz commenters at least watch the game. There's a guy on here predicting Nash Stammer and Lindholm come here this summer lol. Now Risto's weakness is defense? If he was soo bad defensively he wouldn't be on the ice 25+ minutes a game. The weakness to his game is consistency more than anything else. |

But he models his game after Shea Weber...
I model my refereeing after Fraiser but I'll never make it to the show
Risto might model his game after Shea Weber but his defensive play is more Mike Weber. - Stripes77
I don't think it's that bad. He's carrying Gorges offensively but neither of them can really handle the defence vs top lines. Of course difference being one is a young d-man prone to mistakes and the other is...well...old. Still, it's pretty clear puck recovery , possession and limiting shots against are not his strong suit. Certainly points to him benefiting from playing with someone who is excellent in all 3 areas... |

Clearly I don't think he's playing like Mike Weber I was just going to the other extreme. |

I obviously don't want him to die. I hope he lives a very healthy life until he's a 1000 years old. Just pisses me off when people try to be "smart" while disagreeing with someone.

The goal is Stamkos 100% fact, everything after him is a big drop off. I mentioned before of uncle Brian returning a favor one day |

Here's a thought, Defensemen who play 25-28 minutes a game sometimes make mistakes. I don't know of any d-man in the history of hockey that didn't give the puck away at some point or turn to cover the wrong man. It is the nature of the game. Sometimes the other player just wins.
I don't think Nash fits Murray's blueprint for the type of player he is looking to acquire, He has stated that he wants to get players that are 24-26 years of age that can grow with the type of team he is trying to put together.
First let me say that I don't think that Stamkos to TO is a sure thing, Why would anybody in their right mind want lose the kind of money it would take to be a Maple Leaf? Just the cost of living alone would give me pause to consider Buffalo as a viable destination if playing close to my hometown meant that much to me.
Don't get me wrong, if Stamkos were to end up here it sure would be fun to watch
but is the cost and term that it is going to take worth it in the long run? That is the question I grapple with. |

He also said today (or yesterday) to Craig Sustance that he is looking to make a deal for a veteran scoring winger like Sharp who was what 34 last year? |

I honestly think the best chance to win a cup is the year of 2017-2018
It's before Eichel has to get paid, its Kane's contract year, it would be Girgensons contract year if he signs a 2 year bridge deal.
Nash fits in that timeframe |
