Simmonds should never have iced the puck. Skate it to center ice and take the shot or pass it forward. NEVER TAKE THAT SHOT.

This...I would be surprised if he did not apologize or bring it up himself in the locker room after the game...hopefully they are better for it

I was going to keep the post game on to see if Simmonds was interviewed and if he would make a comment about it but I was so damn angry I didn't bother. Just the biggest "cmon man" moment of the season

Watching them early in the season was brutal. And thinking about paying for that all year was depressing. Then Gost came, and it was exciting and gave hope for the future. Now they're playing well many nights and giving themselves a chance to win most nights and that is well worth paying for, playoffs this year or not. My pockets would prefer no playoffs. My heart says bring them on. And I don't think it would be bad for Gost, Scotty, Cousins, and Manning to experience playoff hockey.

I'd even burn an ELC year on Provorov and Konecny if they make the playoffs. This year could be invaluable down the road if they find a way into the playoffs.

I was entertaining that thought in my head a couple of days ago, especially if there were injuries. But I don't think there's any way Hextall would go for it.

I think teams are figuring out our PP. last week or two, I've noticed teams giving a lot more pressure solely on Ghost and G and that's been having a domino effect on the rest of it. I thought having Jake back would better things, but it just has looked so sloppy. G and Ghost are not getting the usual space they would get before.
- arichardson22

I've noticed that too and it started with the Pittsburgh game. They were attacking G and Ghost a lot more and G didn't have time to try and set anything up. Need to change up the strategy. I've also never understood why some teams do sit back and let teams just take their time and pass the puck around. Attach the guy with the puck, make them make quicker passes and make more mistakes, teams are doing that with us more and it's having a major effect.

I despise the Flyers Post Game Live. They never give enough time for the interviews. Haks interview last night was about 30 seconds long and they cut back to the studio in the middle of a question.

Flyers need to respond by being more aggressive. Ghost seems to be the only one taking shots lately.

Jake, Simmonds and Schenn have been passenger's on the first unit lately. All they're doing is passing back to Giroux or Ghost.

I'm still by baffled what Simmonds was thinking. He had the time and space to take a slap shot from his own zone and that's the decision he makes? He needs to make up for it the next 10 games.

Simmer is the prototypical Flyer most nights. Last night he made a bonehead play that will test even the most devout Flyer fan's patience.

I may have to wash my jersey an extra time to wash the stench of that play off it it.

And what makes it worse is if he makes that shot the Neanderthal WIP listeners are calling it a great play that seals a win. Instead they call in and roast Mason who was lit up due to the poor play in front of him.

It essentially was over until the Icing by Simmonds. They had 2 minutes to kill their own power play which would've left Columbus with 33 seconds to attack 6 on 5.

Coatsey definitely jinxed the shutout, btw. Once Saunders called him out on it, the bad mojination was sealed.

not sure what people expected him to do on the first goal. great deflection and probably one that shouldn't have counted. the second one was a cluster (frank) and he had no help at all. box a guy out, knock them down, tie them up.....hell tackle them if you have to. its so damn ridiculous its 5 on 5 with an empty net and they didn't have anyone tied up in front. then he stops 4 in a row in the SO..........but hey lets blame Mason.
