Tough one to watch but we're in. For now.
Forget about this one. Burn it from your memories and focus on the next task at hand. Glad to see PEB is alright. |

This is the worst loss in years. At least they got the loser point. They can't keep their head in the sand and pretend that the shootout doesn't exist. Cause its going to be the reason they are watching the playoffs on tv this year. |

Did the broadcast elaborate about the Jenner tip? From what I saw of the gif, sure looked high. I assume it was reviewed and perhaps they ruled it inconclusive? That minute 5 seconds cost me 18 fantasy points. Hope it doesn't end up costing the flyers. |

Throwing out the how, the bottom line is still favorable:
8-2-2 in last 12 games.
Secured 7 of 10 possible points in last 5 games.
Took 3 out of 4 points in a back to back on the road and didn't lose ground to the two primary teams they are chasing. They sit in the second wild card spot and control their future.
They have at least one game left against the two teams they are closest to in the race. They have a game in hand on one of them.
Losing the point they did tonight, in the manner they did sucks. But it is a negative that can be used as a rallying point. If they make it, there will be playoff losses that they will have to rebound from. This is a case of that-these are basically the playoffs, rebound, bounce back. |

they reviewed it. ruling by ref said the puck was below the bar, not inconclusive. doesn't mean that it wasn't.
one angle it looked high. another it was hard to tell, but i'd lean it was good from that view.
sucks. |

but will they use it as a rallying point? some of their more important players have been failing the eye test for awhile - like simmonds and coots. they were particularly awful tonight. i see zero turn around in their games, but maybe they'll just flip the switch.
the avs are in a dog fight. thurs night's game is going to be very difficult.
i will never understand how they continue to lose against these awful teams. so many points pissed away. |

I still don't understand how Ghost is not used in shoot outs. Coots is what, 2 for 14? Hell with 2 for 14 I'd say give almost anyone a shot ahead of Coots. |

Over their last 20 games, they are 12-4-4. In the last 10, they are 6-2-2. They keep that pace, and they are in.
Both Detroit and the Isles are fading. The Isles have lost 3 in a row. They're 4-4-2 in their last 10. Detroit is 4-6-0 and got their doors blown off by Tampa Bay tonight in a must win. Even Boston has lost 3 in a row and could drop into the wild card mix.
Tonight sucked. But in the overall scheme, they snagged a point. |

Simmonds probably should've gotten the nod over Couts in the shootout, but if I'm Hakstol I'm so, so furious with him after icing that puck. |

Cost me fantasy points and some real life satisfaction. Such is life. I definitely thought it was high but the angles I saw weren't great |

Franco has been a beast all spring. They have some exciting kids. Still probably a second division team, but at least it's better watching the kids learn and develop than the past heroes decline - Jsaquella
exactly. i know theyll be awful, but i can deal if it means something. i can deal with watching a raw double a pitcher struggle with the hope he taps into something. its better than hey heres jerome williams. no, i dont know why either but here he is.
franco is going to be great. just hope something comes out of the ranger haul |

he was not good tonight, imo. soft and careless with the puck. looked slower than usual. he made a very nice play to read at the end there though.
