I just don't get why it seems we always choose the wrong players for shootouts. I mean Schenn 1 for 9. Couts 2 for 14 or something low ? Why not Simmonds or Jake? Hell even Ghost. Mason made 3 great saves in shootout we should have been able to capitalize

he was not good tonight, imo. soft and careless with the puck. looked slower than usual. he made a very nice play to read at the end there though.

Look at the shot in the arm Shayne Gostisbehere, Nick Cousins, and even Scotty Laughton (on some nights) has been.

if youre looking for wins, i certainly dont see them this year. but like i said. i can go down and enjoy them if they hang in most games, and i get to see young guys improve. im fine watching the young kids cut their teeth. just show me a plan, and guys that are willing to try hard.

do that, and i'll enjoy a year of a poopty record with cheap seats.

Since January 1st, the Flyers have the 4th best record in the east. If they overachieved, they sure as (frank) been doing it for awhile.

To me, the biggest crime, is that Claude Giroux has raised his game this year (again) and he's gonna get ignored for World Cup.

But in September, most of us pretty much expected to be playing out the string now, trying to follow draft prospects and wonder if they were going to make a splash.

Now they have a competitive team battling for a playoff berth, they cleared a couple of potential cap headaches, have a load of talent in the system and young talent chipping in on the NHL level, a coach who seems to be as on the ball as any they have had in years.

For me, it's the excitement of things, rather than the resignation of a rbuild
