Momentarily stopped my boredom while I attempt to work... and by work, I mean learn 2 new languages because everyone is leaving this company and they have reassigned me roles twice in under two weeks. - Guile
You should probably spend less time here, then. You know, for your career.
So yeah, I'm already looking elsewhere for work. I'm not dealing with their mass exodus poop. One of the two technical managers gave his 2 week notice yesterday, and the other one is trying to get out too. - Guile
I assume they've given you a solid raise each time your role was reassigned, right? Of course they did, all companies do that...don't even bother responding.

Nah, I'm fine regardless... they have no timeline for this, because this task has been started and shelved dozen times in the last 4 years. Its quite literally a timewaster while they fix the internal team structure.

Nope, because you're assumption is 100% false. Changing a role never merits a raise, unless the responsibility amount or location changes. But all employees would know that

One thing have noticed, and maybe because it happened twice this week, but when pucks are close in on Mason he doesn't seem to be able to cover the puck quickly or gets a little small in net.
Not saying Mason is to blame at all. Just an observation from watching. - J35Bacher
The one thing I noticed about that last goal was three Jackets standing around Mason like it was a pregame puck scramble drill.

C# and Java... but I was hired as a DBA

Weird. Wouldn't think a DBA would need to know those two. But hey, expand the portfolio! I've been trying to learn Ruby on Rails for a few weeks for a project in school and just for some experience. Sounds like a real mess, man. Good luck with all that.

Lol... I can assure you, I don't know these. The manager who is leaving was their database lead, so that part of the team is either going to have to find someone to replace him, or be scraped.

I'm an IT guy myself. 8 years ago my job was outsourced, 4 years ago the role I had been moved into from that was off-shored. I decided to go back to school for accounting.
Hardware and software guys such as myself are becoming antiquated IMO.

I also still cant believe Read didnt put that puck in the net. He had Bob dead to rights.. Could have scored about 12 different ways, and instead puts it over the net by about 2 feet. Holy hacksaw.. - jak521
Yup! Had a ton of space to sneak that shot in and instead misses the net entirely. Wish we had more pure goal scorers. Sens Owner called out whole team; maybe we can finally get Bobby Ryan in the offseason

I'd really not want to go back to school for a career change... just need a company that is not having an internal mass exodus ~_~

Yeah AMac was out of position there, but imo in a scenario like that end of the game a forward or two should be right there putting a body on any opponent near the net.

This going back to school for career change has quietly been creeping up on myself. It didn't help the first article I find this morning is " Why so many people leave advertising."
I love Ryan White. He's a limited player but he excites me a lot more than his counterparts Bellemare and Vandevelde. White really takes a lot of poop around here. - SuperSchennBros
I like White and Bellemare....VdV...meh. My TV would have had a remote sticking out of it if I didn't pay so much for it. I absolutely CANT STAND how they cave in during the last 3 minutes of the game. For a good comparison...see below video starting at :20 mark which demonstrates how the team circles and circles chasing after the puck....as the team starts to cave in on itself.

So yeah... rather have discussions on food while watching and reading C3 tutorials -_-

Agreed. But some people said he couldn't make a big save at the end?? WTF? Maybe the team should have played the last 2 mins more intelligently? Easy to blame the tender I guess. - Hextall271

I moved from hardware/network support to telecom support which is tougher to outsource overseas.
