9.5% to 6.5% I think....really who cares, winning is awesome, growth by the kids is awesome....they'll get a good player regardless.

A 90.5% chance of not winning to a 93.5% chance of not winning

- LeftCoaster

Yup.

We can't even tank right. (frank) the Kings, though, so I'm liking that.

except that there's 3 lotteries, so we actually have a 16% (give or take) chance of getting one of the top 3 picks, which is not bad odds.

6.5% in three lotteries gives us higher than 11% chance of winning one of the draws. I'm not going to go into probabilities with you, but when you calculate the odds of winning one of those lotteries we have around 16%. Either way there's three games left, so we will just have to wit. looks like 6th last is the highest we will likely finish though.

It was a pretty great game and the kids are what won it, which is the important thing. Managaed to actually hold onto a third period lead

Actually, that's what you did. I've just asked you not to comment on my posts for that reason, because if you don't actually want to have a thoughtful debate about it then what's the point of you chiming in?

How do you know they haven't tried to keep it in house on other past issues and felt that the message didn't seem to be getting through? We don't know. And it's not like his comments were all that controversial either. As a point of controversy I agree with others here that it's been overblown.

As for Toews, I'm not convinced he's such a great leader. I think he's lucky he's skilled enough to live up to his arrogance. Also, the guys he's surrounded by make it easy for him to be a winner. Once that franchise starts slipping due to the age of their core, you're going to see some pretty interesting inner turmoil in that room.

- YeOldTimer

Agreed.

I think Toes is way overrated. i only wish nux fans would chant 'twinkle toes' when he comes to town. Now that would be classic.

I'll give, Kane, Hossa, Keith, Hjalmarrson credit. those guys are all really good players. top line, top pair type players. Toes not as much as every1 else seems to think. He's good, but not to the hype he gets.

If LA wins the cup this season you'd have to say Kopi is the best Selke caliber center in the league...

I'd think Seabrook is their key D man more than Keith.
As for Kopitar he is quite the all around power C for sure.
Smart & strong & a 200' player...a winner in every way.

The role of the fourth line has changed in the last 3 years . It has gone from a Sestito type roll to a Dorsett type role now
- VANTEL

Dale's a solid 3rd line player... in Mtl and in Chicago... he could have played that role here as well. AV that idiot didn't have to try and make him a plugger...

even if you discount his time in Mtl, Chicago has him in that same role, so the naysayers and "hockey experts" here who were/ are down on the guy, should give their heads a shake...
