Honestly, after round 1, softball season had started, its nice outside in teh evenings....unless the Canucks are in it.... I am pretty much tuned out.

I generally watch all the way through, and, with a few exceptions, the hockey is less interesting as the playoffs progress although Chicago v LA in the WCF was pretty epic. There hasn't been a SCF anywhere close to as engaging as Boston v Vancouver since though, IMO.

from last blog, thanks for posting the list of candidates.

I forgot MacT was available. Always liked him n he wanted to coach here pretty bad.
Real good coach....that was back when the oilers were a decent to bubble team, not basement.

Lotto: (ping pong balls)
1001 combinations of 4 numbers of 0-9 are allocated pre lotto
10 combos for each 1% & 1 combo for each .1%
eg canucks @11.5% get 115 combos of 4 numbers eg 0403 0846 etc

This for ppl who may not know the inner workings of the lottery.

I didn't see much press or anything, but I was in the building tonight and the fans were giving Burrows and Hamhuis a little extra love tonight. Writing has to be on the wall for the both of them, which is unfortunate as both have been good soldiers for this franchise, but the transition has begun and the youth has started to arrive. Entertaining game tonight, though I am shocked at the Oil presence it at least brought the energy level up for some Van fans

Don't see that happening myself with the way the league is going.
I suppose a trade where salary is retained is a possibility though.
I hope we see what he looks like in pre-season.
If he can hang, he can hang.
If not, he'll be waived to Utica.

I could see A.V. give him a shot in NY, if The Nucks retain 2-3 mil of salary.

There are probably 25 teams that wouldn't touch him, but we might be surprised that a handful of coaches would love to add him to the mix. As much as he's despised by a lot of franchises, there are certainly a few who covet him. His salary gives him negative trade value, but he will be on an NHL roster in October. Trevor will make sure he gets his shot, even if it costs the Canucks to make it happen.

Just ran the draft simulator.

First attempt, Arizona, Carolina, Columbus, top 3. Canucks 6th.

Clearly I got the Bettman wet-dream edition.

His cap hit is 4.5 but his actual salary next year is 3.0, I don't believe the Nucks are allowed to pay anymore than 50% of his salary.
