During an interview, Stecher said that Boeser was the one who convinced Stecher to sign with the Canucks while deciding which team he will be playing for. Boeser might trick Draggiula into signing with the Nucks too.

Well done Garth, though I think Vesey is the better player by far and Buffalo has a better shot at him

You are so far off base with your philly comment all one can do is laugh. This kid isn't a saviour for any team. Another buffalo is great mantra and best fit. Keep up the good work

One game suspension is ridiculous. Hoping philly wins one so the boys get their hands on bellemare. Wilson is just the nut case to over do it. Rather get a hobey baker winner to come play then a late bloomer. But I know buffalo has to settle for second best

Caggiula turned multiple heads in practices and in the annual Blue & Gold scrimmage. Caggiula likely would slot in next to Wonder Twins Jack Eichel and Samson Reinhart is he were to select Buffalo. Murray has said repeatedly that one of Eichel's linies isn't even on the Sabres' roster yet. Caggiula may be that lucky man.

Speaking of NCAA free agent superstar forwards in the offing, Jimmy Vesey will be in Tim Murray's cross hairs come August 15.

The Harvard star and 2016 Hobey Baker Award winner is currently training in his native suburban Boston.

Vesey is close friends with Jack Eichel, his prospective Buffalo Sabres linemate.

"Vesey to Eichel to Reinhart for the goal" has a very nice ring to it

Are the Sabres going to play 4 forwards and 1 D when they sign both these guys?

Even if they sign 1 of the college FA's, sign Stamkps or Okposo, you still have Way too many players and/or potential NHL above average players. Where are all these guys gonna play? You have Evan Rodrigues (already an Eichel teammate guy) Baptiste, Fasching, Bailey, in addition to an unmovable Mouslon, concussed Ennis, Foligno who's development has been slow like his brother Nick's to be fair, trade Zemgus? I'm all for it.

You get my point.

Too many dudes, not enough spots.

That's where trading assets comes in. You bring in better replacements, you open up the potential for packages.

I don't understand how come everyone is saying Yzerman and Cooper are geniuses. These are the same people that wouldn't give him the role/playing time his talent/production(relative to his playing time) indicated he could take on.

Doesn't his production since his recall just confirm that Drouin's camp at least had a case when requesting a trade (at least before agent went public). It looks like either Yzerman wanted to limit Drouin's production prior to resigning him to manage his cap or Cooper didn't like him.

This is still the same player that would be rotting in the AHL if Stamkos wasn't injured.

It's always interesting to see how players' connections and friendships off the ice can impact their decisions in the NHL, and it adds another layer of intrigue to the offseason chatter among fans and pundits alike. strands
