It is pretty funny how he was forgotten about this season. It was all about Eichel. - sbroads24
I don't think anybody really forgot about him so much as had him penciled in for Rochester...despite the fact that the two times Reinhart and Eichel played head to head before this season (both World Juniors), Reinhart looked like the better player.

I just though his skating needed work and that he needed to adjust to a game against men instead of a game against kids. Thought he might get bounced around a bit. He put the work in last year and it paid off.
I thought he'd start in Rochester and didn't mean it in a "he stinks" way. Just thought he needed that stepping stone.
He didn't seem to get thrown around as much this year. Another 10 pounds and he could really hold his own. Especially if that 10 pounds adds to his confidence as well. Feel like that was his revelation this year was that he realized that he really belonged and could play in this league. - Zschalberg
he did early in the year when he was still getting a feel for the game, especially along the wall...he countered that with his smarts...which was awesome in and of itself...I believe murray was thinking 195 lbs...not sure if I read that or heard that, but that looks like a pretty good number on a 6'1" frame

Would have been interesting to see how this year wouldve compared if he stayed in buffalo for his draft (tank) year.. He still couldve gone to the World Juniors.
It's hard to argue with the path GMTM sent him on but I've always thought Sam plays around the speed of the game. Once he adjusted to the tempo, his smarts can do the rest. That was the big difference when he left the 4th line this year.
Would Nolan have given him the time of the 4th line last year to adjust..we'll never know..either way im happy - yen6d1
If Sam plays here during his draft year and puts up good numbers we are potentially just better enough to not be in a position to get Jack.

Patrick Kane has been suspended for one game for calling Tarasenko a "doodie head" during a scrum in the teams' last playoff game. Tarasenko responded by taking off his skate and giving Kane a cut across his face which required 137 stitches, 18 staples, and plastic surgery. No penalty or suspension was given to Tarasenko as the league deemed his actions an appropriate response to Kane's slur used against him. Kane has also been placed into mandatory reeducation camp and all his assets have been seized. He will be required to attend 12 weeks of sensitivity training and also be forced to register as a Democrat so as to not further insult anybody ever again.

I don't want my post just above this to be misunderstood.
I think the terrible violations of the rules that result in players getting hurt, physically, are just as important as the violations of the rules that result from idiots saying stupid things. I also believe that idiots who say stupid things should be prepared to by hurt, physically (in real life) and to be penalized (in games that impose the rules).

To the idiots who thought we should think about trading Reinhart..
- feetontheair22
He stinks, trade him for whatever you can get. He's awesome, trade him while his value is high.
For some, trades and the press conferences that come with them are more exciting than the game itself. You'll never silence those people. If we had Gretzky in 1983 on this team they'd want to move him.

Good! Kane should have gotten worse, there's no room in the game for calling someone such a disgusting name like "doodie head" I hope he never plays again the filthy apple picker.

You can't call him a filthy apple picker. Johnny Appleseed is offended.

Only thing is, if that were the case Tarasenko would have been suspended for Kane calling him a name. Blackhawks have absolutely gotten away with murder in this series. No dog in the fight and it's blatant. The Crawford hit was just an example.
Best thing about Shaw's penalty was how surprised he was to be penalized for a blatant cross-check/interference when the play was over. He looked so shocked that the Blackhawks could get a penalty for breaking a rule.
