yeah, till day one of the season, then he'll have his suspension stayed. I've seen it a 100 times.. - TheSabresTaco
The ONLY way that happens is if the court honestly believes that he has a chance in hell of his writ of cert getting to the Supreme Court. He doesn't have a chance in hell. When it comes to these CBA's the courts give a wide birth to the two parties, especially when they come from equal bargaining positions. The only real question was did Brady have notice that if he acted in a certain manner, the Commish had the final say on his punishment?
2nd Cir. said he did, and given that this type of issue isn't such a massive injustice it is highly unlikely the Supreme Court would take it on with the limited amount of cases it takes every year. |

If they don't pick in the top 5 it should be moved.
Whether it's moved with other picks to move up or moved for a top pairing defenseman. |

I hope for one that we snag a dman at our natural position. Jake Bean is not considered within the 1st tier of defensemen almost universally amongst scouting companies and experts. Your top 3, in what almost seems to be interchangable, is Chykrun, Juolevi, Sergachev. With Chychrun and Juolevi being LD, I strongly feel one of those 2 are picked at 8 if both are available. |

There is quiet a few mock drafts that have him at 10. Thats who I want out of the Dmen. If Juolevi is gone, Michael McLeod is the pick |

Here's an interesting take on the Sens' bloggers post-mortem on Uncle Terry's tenure as GM:
Perhaps Murray's biggest failing as the GM was during the purge of 2011. It was evident a rebuild was on the horizon and Murray started shipping out bodies for other assets, but in hindsight he probably didn't go deep enough. The Senators didn't hit rock bottom, or at least low enough to grab a top 5 pick, which they haven't had since they traded for the pick that became Spezza in 2001 and haven't had one of their own since Chris Phillips.
If you look at the top teams now, for the most part they are teams that did hit the depths and had a base around which to build coming out of the draft. Pittsburgh (Crosby, Malkin, Fluery, Staal), Chicago (Kane, Toews), Washington (Ovechkin, Backstrom), Tampa (Stamkos, Hedman, Drouin) are just a few examples of how important that is.
I wonder what GMTM learned during his decade at Uncle Terry's knee? |

And a few mock drafts have Chychrun still in the top 3...completely out of the question at this point. A lot can happen by the draft, but IMO that Juolevi isn't falling to 10.
Matthews
Puj
Laine
T-chuck
Chychrun
Nylander
Dubois
Sergachev
That's the 8 players you can argue are better. Serg, Nylander and Dubois are all just as likely to go after Juolevi as before. McLeod is good, Jost and Keller are good as well. Not saying won't be a good pick but I can't see the, potentially, best defenseman of the draft making it to 10. |

Also has Buffalo selecting five picks in the 3rd round, we only have three, four if Anaheim's 3rd pick doesn't become a second next year. |
