No. I think you gave a fair evaluation of a player who has a role in the makeup of this team moving forward.

But over the next day or so we'll read about Bogosian and Bagosian, and we'll see what conventional wisdom - or more accurately popular opinion - tells us.

that's cool part of moving down the ladder with these things...everyone pretty much has the same opinion on the first half-dozen or so sabres, but as we move lower, opinions will vary wildly

Side argument: Is there a point to trading for a guy's rights who will become a free agent that every team will want? He will have numerous suitors and getting his rights doesn't mean he has to sign...is there any point to trading for them? (I'm under the impression we can't offer him 8 years even if we had the rights)

Getting his rights would just give us more time with him 1 on 1. We would try to pull the Mario Williams and not let him leave until he signed type thing.
