i'm pretty sure that canada also has the highest % left handed golfers.... probably b/c more kids start with hockey than golf.

Tree is a lefty that plays the right side. Might not help much this year, but could help in a couple of years.

If I could get two picks in the top 6 I might rethink the BPA philosophy. Would be so nice to get two players of equal talent that complement each other. Basically rebuild your 1st line if you go with forwards.

If we have another poor season, I think he will. He wants to win, you can see it when he screws up/when they lose. This is likely his last contract as a Canuck, and maybe even in the NHL(back issues). He may be willing to waive to go somewhere and win it all. This doesn't mean he will waive for Edmonton. But if he does we can always ask EDM what they want on the teams he waives for, trade for that and acquire the 4th.

Lots of time to trade RNH/Eberle(2 years). They can use 4OA to help with Defense now, see how it goes and tweak during the off season/season. Imagine they Trade 4th for Edler(+) and then make another trade to acquire Hamonic using RNH or Eberle?Maybe a 3 way deal to do it. They would be at worst a bubble team if they got Edler + Hamonic. Likely in the Playoffs unless injuries stop them.

I used to think an OS was the way to go but I couldn't disagree more once I looked at the cost. No friggin way a 1st and 3rd is worth it at least now as a bottom dwelling team. It's just too up in the air how to gauge where we end up next year or even the year after. Trading for rights is the only way imo and that's less likely.

Larsen has a KHL out clause like Tryamkin too. Probably makes the team next year as there won't be a ton of competition. I could be wrong.

The draft pick compensation is only half the cost of an offer sheet. People seem to forget that you have to massively over pay to force a team to be unable/ unwilling to match. So you get a number 2/3 dman at a cost of a 1st and 3rd round pick signed to a brutal contract. Makes a lot of sense fellas
