The group of forwards for team Canada look like a solid bunch. And adding Perry into the mix doesn't hurt either. The more hockey Ben Hutton plays, the better it is for the Canucks. I am excited to see what our Canucks will look like for the start of the 2017-18 season.

And for the Backes comment. There is another guy that played the same style, has speed, size, grit and timely scoring. He was also a pending UFA and got a raise with his team. Now 2 years later his team cannot even give him away for free. His name is Bickell. Just saying.

I would definitely take a flyer on Brouwer (don't want anything to do with Backes) as he seems to do his best work in the play-offs. He's got some decent offensive skill and adds grit to the line-up, not to mention that his cap hit will most likely be fairly reasonable.

If the Oilers really improve thru trades this summer, and, if the Leafs draft Matthews and sign Stamkos, the Canucks could go from the best Canadian team for a decade to its worst in very short order.

I'm really hoping we can land tkachuk, he's been my realistic choice for months.. I won't be disappointed with dubois at all but players from the Q always scare a little. Especially the way he's shot up this season. Unless a team blows us away I'll take the quality over quantity..

I thought McCann was being traded?

I'd be happy with either as well. Slight edge to Dubois imo. I still feel our biggest issue is defence now and in the future. Need to really shake things up even if that means trading someone like Tanev. I think Larsen has a KHL out clause like Tryamkin so I'd be interested to see what kind of impact he makes in TC. Only way we improve is through some kind of trade and I only see Hansen and Tanev as moveable and worth something.
