Canucks Prospect Guillaume Brisebois requests trade from the Titans of the QMJHL. The Titans are the only junior team Brisebois has played for and he is the current captain. He was also drafted by the USHL Iowa Musketeers.

I don't think it should be the deciding factor as it wasn't one of the points I mentioned above but that said having forwards who can play both C and W is a good thing.

Many centers out of Junior end up being wingers in the NHL but almost no wingers convert to centers.

Yeah I didnt mean to imply thats what you were saying either. But its been mentioned in a few mock drafts that Dubois might look more appealing to Van for his ability to play multiple positions and I would rather them select who they think is the better overall player and if its Dubois say "we want Dubois to be a C" or "we want him to be wing" and let him learn the NHL game in one position before challenging him even more

People have said this every year for the past 5, I'll believe it when I see it.

He far removed from an iron man and his production is declining...I think it's a fair point

He was having a decent year and then about halfway through the season he stopped appearing on the lineup card. I was wondering what happened with him. I assumed he was injured.

We could also look at a lower pick to go for.

I was just reading a story online about this. The GM of the Titans will do everything he can to keep Brisebois as he is the anchor on the blueline for that team. The problem is, the team is not very good. Brisebois can either request a trade to another QMJHL team or look to the USHL.

Go to the net. I have heard of that . Is this a new thing ? Not sure I have ever seen that as a Canuck strategy.

Here is an interesting comparison of Lucic vs D.Sedin as far as goals and shots go over their careers.

Fun site you can play around with if you want to see where players goals and shots actually come from.

ISS rankings just in , Logan Brown now ranked at 7. The kid was at 23 at few months back. He just turned 18 last month. I sure hope Canucks give him a serious look. 6 '6 strong skaters that can put up points , don't come along too often.

It wasn't meant at the Sedins. I was thinking of guys like Raymond Vrbata . We do have a few that play in front

It would be better to trade Hutton. Our right side is not strong.
- VANTEL

I know I'm the minority, but unless Benning can bring in another (or 2) top 4 defence man I don't want to trade Edler, Tanev or Hutton. The frustration everyone has with the Webers and Bartkowskis in the line up and now people want to trade the d men that can actually play, I don't get it. I understand the d core needs an upgrade but that is not going to work if you are trading guys for picks that you want to draft forwards with.

His production is declining in proportion to the teams decline IMO and while he has missed a more games than usual for him (None) he has still only missed 20 games over the past 2 seasons, I think it is disingenuous to say he is breaking down.

Put it this way, he is still this teams best player and he and his brother are also the most fit and likely will be for the next 2 seasons. Is there decline and signs of aging, sure but the OP suggested that there would be a quick decline.

We all want to trade Sbisa. We might get a mid round 6th if Benning adds a 4th.

I agree, we had a very solid if not spectacular D core for years and while I can understand (even if I disagree) why JB dismantled that depth, he has failed to replace any of them so far.

I like Tryamkin as a possibility and we got lucky with Hutton but at the very least he needs to find some better stop gaps.

Would you consider swapping picks with Arizona, our 5th and 33rd for their 7th and 20th (if they would even do that)?

Take Brown and Fabbro if available.

That's good for him, I caught the 1040 interview with his dad the other day which was interesting.

The issue I have with Brown over one of Tkachuk or Dubois is that he doesn't use his size to punish players the same way.

I have seen a bunch of videos on Brown, and while I can't blame him due to his height, but the guy seemed pretty slow.

I think this year there is a larger jump in talent between 5 and 7 than there is between 20 and 33 so no for me.

Every draft there are 3-6 guys who are clearly a cut above the rest and then the next ~ 30 players are in the next tier IMO.

You don't move the 5th unless you really get overpaid.

That's fair, there is no evidence to suggest that they will decline rapidly. That being said, until they are our second or third line this team won't be a contender

You guys will end up getting a good player at #5 regardless of what we do with the 4th overall....any chance on taking a D or just looking at forwards? or is it just BPA?

He just turned 18 . When I seen him play he used his size. I think when he is 23 and no longer thinking about his game. I think he has the highest reward , but he is the highest risk.
