I don't know if this was talked about earlier, or not. But it's been 10 years already! I'll never forget it, I was at the Town Ballroom to see Nevermore, Evergrey and a bunch of shiddy bands like In Flames. By the time the third period rolled around everyone was jammed into the outer bar watching it. In Flames played to a mostly empty club.

So GMTM and several posters in this thread have emphasized the need to get players who play a "heavy" game to win in the playoffs, and I agree it's important. But watching these games for the last week, the real difference I see is not toughness - it's SPEED.
Yes there are lots of hitting and scrums. But everything happens at a high, high pace. We need cruiser weights who can motor and process - and who have the ability to put the puck on their teammates' tape. That's what wins playoff games.

This is a great post. Ideally you'd want someone who is both. That's why I love Kane, I think he could be a real x factor with that skill set

I agree with this, and it's why I am interested to see Kane play in the playoffs. Really hoping for next year.
