Bonino is way better than Sutter. Yet we added a top defensive prospect and a second round pick. Wtf is our gm smoking?

Fire benning.

Linden Vey sure has a nice family.
Maybe the off ice issue increased his icetime.

Saskatchewan was also the home of Colin Thatcher, no hills at all makes you go insane. Which also explains Bingo.

What is he going to by his dad for father's day?

I'd rather watch a reality show around him than hockey wives

I'm on the east coast now. Weather is inconsistent.

Wether or not we agree with it Babcock is a top 5 coach in the league. Even then, i'm sure some of his decisions cost his team losses. That is coaching.

Every other team ahead of us lost points because of decisions made by their HC as well. IF you truly believe that a simple coaching change all of a sudden makes us a playoff team then there isn't really much to say.

WD did fine guiding us to a 100+ point season his first year here but the truth is we don't have a whole lot of talent. Again, if we have a year without any significant injuries and some growth from the youth I see a lower seed as a possibility with the addition of a couple of FA's.

Aside from that, expect more of the same.

- golfingsince

I have never said instantly. I also dont say take anybody....I mean picking the RIGHT guy. We see that in nashville....1st year Laviolette takes them to top in NHL from not being in playoffs. Pretty drastic change right? The right coach can yes.

As for WD....most here agree he's not that great and made tons of errors..... so why not change it then? Theres lots of people here too that agree...

Bonino proving his worth. Didn't have the right cast of characters in vancity to play with. 33 pts in last 47 games... Including playoffs....

Don't see why Canucks couldn't have gotten kessel, hagelin instead of getting rid of bonino.. Should of hired Mike Sullivan instead of Willie D

Unfortunately we don't have Malkin Crosby Letang and Kessel here. If we ever get them we can trade for Slow Foot Bonino to protect him. Right now we have enough slow foots

As per last night.

Here is a list of kids

Bo JM JV Gaunce Hutton Etem Sven Granlund Tryamkin Pedan Rodin Larsen Vey

I highly doubt they all play on the Canucks this upcoming year. I say this because of the discussion last night.

I am not sure how we can say Canucks will or will not make the playoffs next year when we don't know who will be on the roster.

I have no idea who will be playing on the top line with the twins or second line . I don't know who we will draft or aquire with trade or Free Agency.

We all for sure don't want to just make the playoffs and be beat in the first round and yet we want Hamhuis and Burrows back. They are exactly the type of player who will protect you to a bubble spot with no hope of winning a round.

How do you know until you see the roster? A lot can happen between now and then.

Closer to what? I think they're a rebuilding team with enough good veteran players to keep them outta the bottom UNLESS they run into injuries.

Then, like you said, you see the lack of organizational depth...thanks Mike Gillis.

I just hope at least one Canadian team makes the playoffs next year. Do I think the Canucks will be that team? No. Just a guess mind you.

I will be truthful I don't care if the other teams make it. I want Canucks to start building a winner .i don't mean jump from 27 to top 5 this year , I mean build a team that can make the playoffs and compete and win one round.

Exactly. Bonino was useless for us vs CAL in the playoffs. Kessel and Cullen are carrying Bonino through the PO's. Cullen is playing unreal. Teams need support for slow players like Bonino to succeed...we just could not provide him that here.

You could not be more wrong.
Look at the stats. He's more than holding his own. Just because he didn't do well on a terrible canuck team doesn't mean he's a bad player.

Back that statement up. Prove it.
