TBH I don't watch Calgary
I have watched about 2 hours of playoffs . Very little interest this year. - VANTEL
you missed some good games. TB vs NYI had some real good physical games. Stl vs Chi was awesome to watch. |

you're missing out. the playoffs have been particularly good this year. the games and series have been fantastic. and unlike past years where i felt the best matchups and series were in the first round, the games/series have gotten better as the playoffs have progressed. - RealityChecker
What I have seen has been very good, but if I don't have an invested interest in a team then I find it hard to watch |

Hi guys,
I have been intrepid reporting today, so I haven't had time to put a blog together.
Canada/Germany starts in 15 minutes or so, which means I'm workin' for the next several hours.
So - in lieu of a blog, I'll offer you a teaser. I had a great one-on-one chat with Thatcher Demko today, so I'll have that for you very soon.... |

are you not in a hockey pool? Only reason I care cause I have St. Louis to win the cup. |

Totally agree with this, and not having an overall team favourite I'm not as critical when minor mistakes happen.
Although last night the games were decided by both teams goal tending, Elliott was awesome and Lehtonen/Neimi were awful. |

If van gets Dubios, I'd consider it for sure.
I have faith in JB and his team. Whatever he does. |

I will start the Rumor
Benning told TD that Miller wants out and he will be back up to Markstrom .

I have a feeling this tournament is going to really help Tanevs game. He is shooting a little more. |

I think realistically we have room for 1 high end UFA or 2 mid tier players.
Sedin,Sedin,Hansen, Sutter, Dorsett, Horvat, Edler, Tanev, Tryamkin, Hutton, Sbisa, Miller, Markstrom are the only players currently signed and guaranteed back IMO. That is 46.9 million.
Baertschi, Rodin and Larsen are all a very good bet so add 8 million for those 3 because both the euro's will have high performance bonuses I would guess.
Now at 54.9 add in Burrow's 2 million buy out and burying higgin's for 1.55 is now 58.4.
Say Granlund, Etem, Vey and Virtanen win 4 other spots we are looking at another 3.8 minimum, so now at 61.2 and we need a top 4 D and a top 6 winger
We have between 9 and 12 million (depending on what the PA does) to fill those 2 spots if they choose to spend right to the cap.
That could get you maybe a Brouwer and Demers at ~ 5 million each.
Sedin Sedin Hansen
Baertschi Horvat UFA
Etem Sutter Rodin
Virtanen Granlund Dorsett
Vey
Edler Tanev
Hutton UFA
Sbisa Tryamkin

Off the books this year
Hamhuis 4.5
Vrbata 5.0
Prust 2.5
Weber 1.5
Bartowski 1.75
Vey 1
Total 15.25
Cap increase 3 mil
Total 18. 5
Burrows buy out 2 mil
Total 20.5
Higgins? - VANTEL
For a guy that won't give Aquilini any of your money you sure want to spend all of his. |
