Thanks Carol! Glad you are enjoying your time over there!
I feel awful for Linden Vey. That cannot be an easy situation to deal with. |

The Vey story is weird to me, in the way the media has handled it.
It was reported 3 years ago, then basically swept under the rug. Now in the last 48 hours Trevor Linden has given interviews on it, and every news outlet in Vancouver has been reporting it.
The timing is just odd. It isn't new news. Why was it kept hushed for so long? Why is it suddenly fair game? |

Canucks don't have to worry about not being able to protect key players because they don't have many key players that need protecting. Good = Bad = GoodBad?? |

always fun to trash talk the opposition! cheers.
But I don't think I'm wrong. Canucks have a lot of work to do to get back into contention. Still love the sedins and I will never ever call them soft because that is pure BS. |

Holy Cow!
I almost wish that this was not even out there as I fear it will be fodder for every time he under-performs, people will bring up his past.... even if he had nothing to do with it.
Oh, what a horrible thing to through. |

Good article! I was wondering who we had to worry about protecting.
So now if we deal Edler, Hansen and Granlund it allows us to pick up multiple players at both forward and defense on the cheap after this season.
Replace them with players on 1 year deals that we can move at the deadline this year, use those picks and picks the following year (2018)to grab players from teams loaded with guys that could be on the move via expansion.
We would also have about 30 million in cap space and a top 5 pick in next years draft. Another year of not great hockey but we would for sure be ready to start moving on with signing free agents(HEDMAN and BENN). |

Was that a jab? You suck at jabs. Jabs are bad for you. Stay away from jabs.

Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks: Linden Vey Family Murder Plot, Expansion Draft
Linden Vey will be spending part of his offseason in a courtroom as his father goes on trial for an alleged plot to murder his mother, and we take a look ahead at a possible NHL expansion draft. - Carol Schram
It looks like the NP dropped the ball, not printing Linden Vey + NHL in their article, it could have generated more hits.
Thank you for the tsn link on Victory Day celebrations. It is hard to comprehend the numbers and devastation. |

Interesting assessment, but I don't quite agree. My assessment is...if there weren't as many injuries to some of the better players this team would have been in contention. Not a spot many here want because they would have been bounced in the first round anyway...but never the less, they would have been in contention for the last playoff spot.
The bonus out of all those injuries was that JB and Wd got to see what the prospects can bring and what the team needs to address going forward. |

Personally I feel for you, I was really glad to hear the Red Cross has raised over 60mil and both Alberta and the Feds have offered to match...hopefully that gets the ball rolling. |
