I will wait until September . I think there will be some movement this summer. I just can't see them sending out ten plus players under the age of 24 |

Two years ago you complained about the age of this team, now you're bringing up the age of this team. |

I wouldn't be surprised to see 9. Horvat, Hutton, Baertschi, Tryamkin, Etem, Granlund, Rodin, Vey and Virtanen.
I think we see a very similar roster as this past year with 1 significant UFA and our 2 Euro's being billed as the "improvement" as well as most of if not all the youngsters starting in the AHL. Granlund, Vey, Etem will all be on the roster opening day as well as Burrows and Hamhuis.

Yes two years ago how many players did we have between 23-27 ? How many did we have under 23?
We had a roster full of too old , so we go to too young . How bout meeting in the middle with most of your roster between 23-29 |

What was Hamhuis's new contract ? I missed that signing. He is a plan B otherwise he would have had a new contract. If there is no other option then he is back .
Burrows a 4.5 mil fourth liner , excellent |

Meeting in the middle is fine it just means we get older sooner. Every year a player under 24 plays he gets older, why not have this team get older by playing the players? |

That is why you need players that can step in on the farm . You know we didn't have that.
A team should have replacements waiting. Most players are at peak from 22-32 . When the fall from that peak they should be removed and replaced. Gillis never accounted for that. Burrows and Higgins last year should have been replaced . It should have been 2 players stepping in, not 10 players.
Edler and the Twins need replacing soon and hopefully by then we can make a transition. |

I think you want most of your roster in that range when you're competing. In 3-5 years when we all expect them to be pushing, those 10 players plus the latest wave of picks will all be in your range on hopefully inexpensive contracts |

Not what I want, but what I expect.
Benning has already said on the radio I believe that they are trying to resign Hamhuis. |

How hard is it to sign someone ? Dan you want to play here 2-3 more years? Sit down here's the pen , sign here.
Benning is probably seeing how much money he has left after he has done everything else. We can officially call Hamhuis Plan B |

I believe you are right here....Ive thought for months he'd wait till he got answers from specific UFA targets to see what he has left in the piggy bank. Probably has plan A B C D mapped out. After 4-5 days he'll decide what to do. |

A lot could happen to prevent a signing. Yes Benning did say yes we want to talk to Dan , I doubt he we would ever come out and say we have mild interest he is a plan B.
I think before they consider him they need to wait first of all if there is any movement at the Draft. Do they make trades with other players this summer for a Dman? They can talk to other UFAs and find out if they can get a reasonable signing , two weeks before July 1 st. Can they make a deal with a cap stretched team.
They also already have Edler Hutton Strecher Pedan Sbisa as LHD |

I hope Benning has already low balled Hamhuis and that's where the delay is, Hamhius will wait until after July 1 to see what other's offer and then if they want to stay here he'll sign his 2 mil deal for 2 yrs |

That's because they are on our roster. Once they are gone you will only hear about them twice a year when they score , and our faithfuls remind us of how we should have never let them go. |
