EK suggests there's a long line of suitors for Loui Eriksson! This is good news, I hope he gets overpaid in another city. |

TB in 6
St L/TB Final
Toss up but will go TB in 6 so we can make a run at Stamkos 😜 - Nighthawk
If Stamkos is back sill that would be a big maybe. PIT is just too deep right now IMO...

it can be very frustrating, the same sh!t all the time, don't know how many times I've told wifey not to use metal on non stick, found a nice pan I had been saving all chewed up in the bottom of the drawer... I never used it once
I have been hiding some nice pans on the top shelf, afraid to start using them, starting to think I am just as messed up as her. - hillbillydeluxe
It seems to go in one ear and out the other most of the time. Lol my fiancée is still young though, so I've had time to mold her. she is getting better and better. |

I can't see any good free agents worth anything wanting to come to a rebuilding team, such as Eriksson or Okposso. They're gonna want to win, so there's a lot of other choices out there.
B-grade guys like Ladd and Lucic may come to Vancouver because it's home, but the cost would be a huge cap hit, not worth it IMO. Although I wouldn't mind Lucic to be honest.
C level guys like Vantel's guys may come but they'll also have a lot of suitors because they don't cost a lot. |

What would you think of this?
Ladd Bo Brouwer
Danny Hank Rodin
Sven Sutter Hansen
Etem Gaunce Dorsett - VANTEL
I doubt that fits under the salary cap. |

My guess is Ladd, family man, lives in Summerland. A reasonable two year deal would work, especially if Burrows comes off the books. |

He'll probably want more term as it'll be close to his last contract, I don't see him accepting a two year deal. |

Wow Dallas really choked in their game 7...or did St. Louis really play that much better?
Either way how many picked St. Louis in the conference finals?
Any thoughts for tomorrow night, Nashville or San Jose? - Makita
I had a St. Louis/Wash final with Washington winning. Stupid Washington...
As a fan I hope to see it being a SJ-TB final, two teams I would really like to see win a cup. I would be ok with the Blues winning too, but redemption for the Sharks after so many years of disappointment and threats to blow it up would be a good story for a good franchise and fanbase |

This whole work thing is going to ruin a nice day....
So draft talk:
You guys cool with, trading down to ARZ (7) and adding their 2nd (37)
Drafting Juolevi (7) and Benson (33), who should slide in to 2nd + have another pick at 37.
Or take Dubois or Tkachuk?
I'd be ok either way. One thing Trader Jim has our trust in, is drafting. I'll be on board with whatever situation arises. |
|
|
|

Then you better study the salary cap closer . If they signed both they still have about another 10 mil in cap space. |

You lost me with B and C
Guys like Ladd and LUcic may come here but cost a lot ( in B ) but they will have many suitors because they are cheaper ( In C) |

I like the idea, but I want more out of ARZ...
I know many want JB to draft Dubois, but if we some how end up with Tkachuk, I'd fine with that, he might even be ready to start in the NHL in a bottom 6 role.
I'll be okay with what ever happens, just looking forward to see what JB ends up doing.

The thing with Ladd is how many teams can afford 6 mil a year for 20 goals? The next thing is how long do you want to sign him for? Most teams will want 2-3 years.
If Canucks can offer him 6x4 with no NTC we could squeeze him in easily .We have 25 mil in cap space this year, 10.5 next year , and close to 20 mil the following year. This would not hurt seeing we have a very young team on ELC |

I'll admit I'm not a huge Ladd fan, but I see his value to contending teams. In my view I see him more as a top-6 complimentary player (not impact/driver), which is why I want the Canucks to stay away. With their current lineup I see him struggling to hit 20 goals, maybe he bangs home a few on the first PP unit with the twins but 5 on 5 I wouldnt have high expectations, especially not tied to a $6m contract value (which is another issue of setting a low production benchmark for guys coming off ELC's).
He's probably better than I give him credit for, but I just dont see it being a good move for Van |

If you left him on an island playing alone he would struggle. I think if you brought him in another winger and they were centred by Bo it would be different |

Off the books this year
Hamhuis 4.5

Total 18. 5
Burrows buy out 2 mil
Total 20.5

Different sure, I just dont think they could put together a lineup in the next few seasons that would help him match his typical seasons (especially now that he's going to be over 30). If Ladd with Toews/Hossa produced 12 points in 19 games this year, and playing with Wheeler in WPG did 150 points in 218 games over the past 3 years, I think you're looking at production well under $6m price tag with Bo Horvat and whoever they find to play the other wing
EDIT: With Ladd, I just don't see how you're not creating the second coming of big contract Burrows |

drafting tkachuk would be good to have Ladd then for a couple more seasons allowing him to develop more then have
Ktachuk
Ladd
Baertschi as the LW
Virtanen
Boeser
Hansen
Horvat
McCann
Sutter
certainly could be a decent top 9 when the sedins are gone. |
