So are the Aves just going to keep trading all their young super star talent in a perpetual rebuild of mediocrity? They may take Vancouver's spot as worst managed in the NHL soon. |

I think everyone on this board would do that deal so that's why I know it's not fair you have to overpay which sucks |

We're just not good trading partners for a player like that... If Ennis played last year and put up 35-40 points we'd have a nice trade asset. Duchene who made team Canada (fair or not) over O'Riley. Would probably cost on a good team their 2nd best defenseman or their 2nd line center. Since we don't have a number two defenceman good enough for him or a second line center they'd probably ask for Risto. I wouldn't do it.
Maybe we could do Barrie and Duchene and their 2nd for Risto and Bailey? I wouldn't do it but who knows... |

You would get a lesser defenseman but you would end up with a high-powered forward that's a tough one
I would say that's a pretty close even trade |

Wow, no.
8th and Bailey and someone like Borgen at the most. ROR was only 2 good prospects, one guy who may or may not, and the 31st pick. |

I think the Colorado Avalanche would laugh at the offer
You're probably giving up as much as the Phil Kessel trade |

Duschene is a better overall player and point producer. He's going to cost more. Borgen and Bailey aren't close to the prospects of Zadorov. Grigerenko was a throw away. Compher is a better Borgen Zadorov is a better Bailey. Need to offer better than that and we don't have it. |

Yeah, except the difference is in the picks. The 8th is a lot more valuable than the 31st. I really wish I could find that stupid article that shows what every pick is worth in terms of getting awuality NHLer. ROR means more to a team than Duchene. Duchene scores goals. Ok, ROR scores goals, kills penalties, takes every other face-off. Forechecks. Backchecks. Plays 38 minutes a nights. Yes, he's very valuable. Hence the 8th overall pick with no picks coming back. Plus a good prospect and a tweener who has shown some promise on the international stage. |

It's going to cost a lot let's see your offers guys - GERBE!!!75PTS
He doesn't get along with O'Reilly. No way the sabres can bring in Ladd or Duchene. |

Yea
Its just too much of our prospect pool to be giving up when we are already weak there. And I really like Duchene. It will just cause too much damage |

I think O'Riley is a more complete player but apparently the people in Colorado and team Canada disagree.
If they gave up Duchene they'd have one solid top six center. I don't see them trading him at all unless they get RNH back in a deal for Barrie which I could definitely see happening. I don't see a fair deal for Buffalo here. |

Apparently him and O'Riley made up. They were very close during the worlds this summer. We're not getting him though so don't worry. Likely not getting Ladd either. |

Oh, I was just talking in terms of value. We'd be a horrible trade partner. Apparently ROR and Duchene don't get along.
Edit: Late.
Double edit: I believe Duchene will be on the wing for Canada. |
