Carrier is the only one that i have a little faith in still to become a top 6 NHL forward.
That is pretty blah though.
It needs to be addressed in the draft/offseason. - ImThatGuy
No faith in Possler? |

do we rank in the bottom 5 for prospects as a whole? we have nothing left in the way of prospects.. good thing is we are a young team in the NHL and we don't need anything immediately but i would like to have something that has a snowballs chance at making it - IndianaSabresFan
fasching
bailey
a few d men
goalies
thats about it
but you have risto, skunk, eichel, nelson larsson with big club |

but nothign that is really top 6 forward, top 3 dmen capable.. maybe guhle or fasching?? but not likely.
Goalie i think has become our deepest position but that is still a good posibilty that no one becomes the #1 type goalie |

no, but we aren't no. 1 any more...the right side is loaded and they have guhle, borgen and martin on defense plus a pretty solid group of prospects in goal...might still be in the top-half |

they have a top-line left wing plus centers who can fill in there, imo...I don't think they'll do a trade up and i'm not even sure we have pieces available Edmonton would want

guhle, bailey, Petersen are three really strong prospects, Fasching and Borgen are not that far behind |

I think Murray will pull off a draft day trade that will add some left wing potential. Something like:
To CBUS: The #8 and #88 picks, 2nd round in '17, Baptiste
To BUF: The #3 pick and Kirby Rychel.
CBUS is loaded at left wing and wouldn't need to draft Jesse P. at #3. |

GM Jarmo would laugh hysterically and hang up, Jesse is gonna be the best player that organization has had since Nash |

Murray should be crowned GM of the year if he pulls that off. Puljujarvi would be exactly what we need. |

CBUS has 6 LW signed long term:
Saad
Foligno
Calvert
Milano
Bittner
Rychel
All with top 6 potential. If not Jesse P, perhaps one or two of the above.

why would Columbus do this? I think you are missing the big picture with them. Currently they have too many wingers making big money hurtnig their team to sign Jones. Dont see how moving young ELC guys like puljujarvi and rychel solves their problems
They will be needing to sell off guys soon, and will need puljujarvi to step right in. Dont see how moving the 3 unless they are using it in a way to dump some bad contracts and gain quality young cheap guys in the same process. |

what are your thoughts...
i was reading that Lucic wants something like 6years-36 mil extension. Kings are offering something shorter and less money.
offer 5 year/26 mil? comes out to about 5.2 mil per year? would you try it?
he plays a tough game and seems like GMTM would like that grit and his numbers arent bad

Pretty sure Jesse P. Is a right wing. If we can't move up to get Tkachuk, I think we have to try to move up a couple spots to ensure we can get Chychrun. He was very impressive at the combine and I believe that he is the best player available after the top 4. Maybe between him and Nylander? |
