Dubios is 6'3" 205 at 18 years old. He is not exactly a small guy. He also has a higher skill set then Brown so I agree.

Do we really want to resign Miller though? Demko will need to play 1 year in AHL and back-up 1-2 years before he is ready(most likely). The only other possibility is that we build a strong defense to insulate him for a strong development.

And thats if everything goes perfectly. Schneider came up at what? 24? Markstrom has proved he's an NHL goalie and young.. He's the goalie of now until Demko proves otherwise.. He goes nowhere to me

One asst that no one mentions is Markstrom. He is a UFA next year and he knows he is not the future goalie here. It might be something to think about at TDL. Who would be better to help Demko.

Which is fine. I'm in the camp that we need to move on from Melanson's style. I also think Markstrom would benefit from a different coach as well. You could see some of the 'Lou' things creeping into his game that Melanson fought so hard to get Lou to convert to. Miller has had issue with Melansons style as well.

I would like to see Demko with a fresh goalie coach here when the time is right…who that will be remains to be seen. If Demko struggles in Utica (which is doubtful) Markstrom could be here five more seasons…lots to think about but I do believe Demko is our money goalie of the future.

We'd have to hope that edlers loss doesnt leave a huger hole too. He plays big minutes.

You talk like Logan Brown is some unskilled player? He had 1.25 PPG this year in a tougher league to play in, OHL vs QMJHL. He was 19th overall in scoring in the OHL. He also had 12 points in 7 games for USA U18 at the WJC-18.

I think all three are great prospects, but if I had to list them I'd put a premium on Brown being a center and their ability to skate. I'd list them Dubois, Brown, Tkachuk.

Brown is not an unskilled player!
