hes gone when expansion happens so might as well trade him now. You are keeping tanev and hutton and after what jb tossed up for goody not a chance they let him go for nothing. trade edler and resign hamhuis on a one year. - mauryballstein
Should make for an interesting offseason if/when expansion is confirmed.
How many other teams will begin preparing in the exact same way and begin moving pieces. |

Your laughter has de-escalated the situation...for now...
I'm just saying that Sutter is/was better suited to play 2C last year. He probably is this year as well.
Bo (lord love him) played over his head last year and it showed. I have high hopes for the kid and if he can become a player of Kesler's (beastmode) caliber shutdown, f/o champ, score 25-30 goals, that will be wonderful.
Bo just ain't ready to be thrown against other teams top 2 lines at this point (also given his linemates). If he was on a more offensive line next year and not facing top defenders, he'll be better suited. Allow Sutter to play that real shut down role. |

I just read through the tread. The comments about Rollie are totally off the mark. Rollie's wife lives in the east. He has family things going on and its time for a change. He has done well. I am 100% positive that he and Miller have no issues. This change has nothing to do with the organization or personnel. This is cut and dry family/personal reasons. |

You talk like Logan Brown is some unskilled player? He had 1.25 PPG this year in a tougher league to play in, OHL vs QMJHL. He was 19th overall in scoring in the OHL. He also had 12 points in 7 games for USA U18 at the WJC-18.
I think all three are great prospects, but if I had to list them I'd put a premium on Brown being a center and their ability to skate. I'd list them Dubois, Brown, Tkachuk.
Brown is not an unskilled player! - LeftCoaster
I listened to Button earlier endorsing the Canucks to take Brown. Now i am afraid he's a bust. |

So assuming Pittsburgh wins the Cup, which I'm pretty sure they will, that'll give them four Stanley Cups. Since expansion that puts them in pretty good company.
Montreal - 10
Edmonton - 5
NYI's - 4
Pittsburgh - 4
Detroit - 4
New Jersey - 3
Boston - 3
Chicago - 3
Philadelphia - 2
Colorado - 2
Los Angeles - 2
NYR - 1
Calgary - 1
Dallas - 1
Anaheim - 1
Carolina - 1
Tampa - 1
Everyone else zero |

it's funny, human nature, for whatever reason, makes us only remember and cast individuals in a certain light from the bad things they've done. Just like Dan Cloutier, he was actually a pretty decent tender but everyone poops all over him because of ONE goal.
Button was Director of Scouting and Player Personnel from 1992 to 2000 with Dallas, he helped draft a bunch of good players for them and they went to two finals, winning once.
Everyone lays an egg once and awhile. |

How many forwards in the NHL are 6'6?
Brian Boyle is all I can think of.
He's too tall to be a centerman. 6'2 - 6'4 is the perfect height
Dubois = 6'25 = perfect |

Scouting report says Dubois has a high competitive drive, that's something you can't teach....I really like that about him. |

Similar to Virtanen in his draft, Dubois is young. He is still 17, and turns 18 on the day of the draft.
That kind of play for his age is really good.
