I just finished reading the pages of proposals from last thread. How bout we just add Dubois or Tkachuck this year. This trading down is nonsense.

This year we will add a top 5 pick that should be good to go in 2017. We added Gudbranson this year and I guess you can add Tryamin to the group as well.

That is 3 nice pieces. Yes we lost a first round pick but most here had him slotted on the Comets next year anyways. If we need a second round pick trade for it .

So Lucic wants a winner? Well that eliminates any team in Canada...

If he doesn't sign in Canada then we are all winners, as much as we may need him , he is not worth 6x6

Agreed- I think a few of us would be happy with a short term contract but lucic wont want that. No way I want him for 6x6 so hopefully he goes to a "winner"

If Kessel wins, they will probably talk about how Bonino helped him win it.

Sadly yes.

Good for him but he didnt play like that here. I take that back we didn't have anyone here to make him shine so he looked like an anchor.

Sutter makes our team faster and that what Canucks need . Good luck to NB

Maybe bonino is just one of those players who is good enough to play with talented wingers but can't carry weak ones ...either way he has been playing his best hockey for 2-3 months now

agreed he is playing his best hockey. Canucks however didn't really lose much from him,
chances are we still wouldnt make the playoffs he was on our team still.

We cant lose sight that he had 9 goals 29 points this year. Not much better last year.

He turned it on when it matters but he ain't no star

We could call him a player that ups his game in the playoffs. Conn Smythe he is not. As you said good luck to him. There is too many players that have been far better than Bonino.

Also we have only mentioned Pittsburg's players as Conn Smythe like this series is over. If SanJose comes back too win in 7. I look to Burns Pavelski Couture and Jones(if he is lights out these last 3) for the CS trophy.

Like I said he needs talented wingers ...I will say that he is benefiting from having an almost 40 goal scorer as a linemate on a 3rd line ...but still he is playing in all kinds of scenarios not just cherry picked ones

It's interesting how this happens in the playoffs.
The stars are being largely neutralised by the other team and it means that 3rd and 4th line players are determining the outcomes of the games.
It sure helps that Kessel is playing on the 3rd line, but as Carol mentioned, all sorts of unsung dudes are getting on the scoresheet.

Maybe WDs idea of rolling 4 lines evenly is not so crazy after all...maybe having $4 million + players on 3rd and 4th line is not bad management either??

Just spitballing...

I was listening to 1040 today, Pierre McGuire was commenting on Kessel-Bonino-Hagelin being the Pen's third line.
