Yeah I play with the Reinharts here and there. Max is a really solid golfer. My business puts me in some solid foursomes, helps to play well. - Scooby_Doo

Funny, I know a girl who's business puts her in some solid foursomes. She too knocks a lot of balls with NHL players. |

I have kept my mouth shut on this for some time. I would love to trade Edler for their 4 th pick.
You could draft Dubois and Tkachuk or trade hopefully to Wpg 4&5 for 2 nd - VANTEL
All for it. I wanted to move Edler a few years back when Carolina offered their first for him but we didn't pull the trigger. |

Im sure Edler would waive if they team asked him, why would anyone want to play for a team that doesnt want them. Boston would be a good fit. |

I am unsure if he would or not. He would be a good fit on a couple of teams, carolina, boston, dallas, buffalo, arizona. bring back a first round pick too. |

I've just had more practise, dumb game but it keeps me busy. I actually love it, but a lot of people don't.
It's just you against the course, there's no one to blame but yourself if you play poorly. - LeftCoaster

So you ask him to waive. These guys are pros and they see what is happening with the youth movement. I wouldn't be surprised if he agreed to submit a list of teams. Hopefully it would be to the East though where his game is better suited. Philly and Carolina and Detroit have always been high on Edler. |

I would have the conversation with him. Explain to him we would like to get assets. It would give him a chance to bargain what team to target. If he has a bad year or his game starts to fall he would be on the entry draft list where he has no say.
I seen comments on here yesterday about trading his talent for hopeful return in a draft pick . That is nuts. There are equal talent in UFAs or trade for younger talent .
Just throwing a name out there if you traded Edler for a Barrie then it is already a decent return,if you traded him for a high draft pick you would need to replace hi with a UFA at close to the same salary. A comparable would be Gologoski |

A trade i'm okay with, the UFA's agents are auctioning off high prices and NTC's. Something this team need to move away from. Another hockey trade is needed. |

Do I think they are shopping Edler? No. I haven't heard any rumblings at all anywhere other than here.
The only reason it is being discussed is because this is your one year for a get out of jail free card. After this year he has full control of where he plays until his contract expires.
Very unlikely but if you can improve your D then why not. |

I think right now given Edler's injury issues I don't think he's as valuable as. Goligoski who's a UFA, still only 30, and in a bad dman free agency year his value goes up but I get what you're saying just don't know how jb plans this all out.

Edler to Oilers for 4th overall. Draft Tkachuk and Dubois.
Hansen to Bruins for 1st rounder. Draft Fabbro. |

This is just wishful thinking on our part to kill time to the draft.
I doubt JB has even thought about trading Edler. |

Why would the Avs trade Barrie for Edler? It doesn't make any sense.
I don't think trading Edler for a high draft pick is nuts either - if you replaced him a UFA or resigned Hamhuis (for 2 yrs) to eat up those minutes until someone like Hutton can comfortably replace them & by then you have a couple of developing prospects nearly ready to make the jump. I think that's a smooth transition.

Scenario: Van starts the first 30 games very poorly. How fast does WD get fired and JB if things don't get better. |
