I still really like Dillon he is a very decent 5/6 Dman . He is better than our bottom pairing

5/6 yeah top 4 as you wanted him for not so much lol.

Anyways Dubois would be a smart pick for the fact that he is a LW/C so for a year or two he can play LW and then tranisition to Center after Henrik is gone. Basically what Van did with McCann.

You will have to show me where I said that , because most times I wanted him as the 5/6 , but I am sure you have a quote of me saying I wanted him top 4

That was a year ago, I don't think this website goes back that far. I'm like 97.99999% sure you wanted him exactly where we have Gudbranson now.

Did you see that college list of the best players I posted yesterday? I think people are over hyping how good Demko actually is.

If Chicago was to add Teuvo Teravainen in a Bryan Bickell trade? What would it cost us?

Edit: Markus Kruger has a cap hit of 3,083,333 and he scored 4 points in 41 games last season!

Well at least you know what you are talking about here...since 1976 Philly has been a shining example of it. How's your goaltending been since Hextall?

I have seen people on here pull out quotes from a year ago. I only remember putting him in the bottom pairing but, Canucks D has sucked for years. Look how Hutton came in from nowhere and was playing top minutes last year. It wouldn't have been that difficult to make top 4 on this team for the last 3 years.

Actually they aren't. He really is that good. I see his ceiling much higher than Markstrom.

That's all very true. I'm just going off my surprisingly very very good memory. I just passed 30 5 days ago so i'm not senile yet.

Stecher is going to get his time in the AHL unless Van doesn't sign Larsen. Whenever that happens..... I'd like a hutton type surprise again this season.

I wasn't saying he doesn't have the potential to be better then Markstrom. As of RIGHT NOW he probably isn't NHL ready and will most likely have some ups and downs in the AHL this coming season. He is the best 20 year old goalie in the world but he's still 20.

Also surprised that JB traded for him but hasn't even been mention of talk about signing Larsen. Talk about what he can bring to the team. Van has many options for the 3rd pairing.

I'm really surprised as well. Very quiet in terms of what the plan is with him. I suppose they will sign him when the time comes. I hoped he would be in our bottom pairing with Tryamkin at some point in the season.

JB:
“We want to be prepared for any scenario that could come up at the draft. But depending on who’s there when we pick, we know we’re getting a good player. We’re not looking to move the pick, but I wouldn’t be doing my job if teams call and make offers for the pick and we didn’t consider the offers.

“We’re doing our due diligence. If we can move down and get a top-six player and a second-round pick, we have to keep our options open. I’m not saying we’re going to do anything, but we need to be prepared for any situation that may come up. But at the end of the day, if we go in and pick at No. 5, I’m real confident that we’re getting a piece that will help us win and be part of our future for a long time.”

We did finish bottom 5. It seems much more likely we miss the playoffs than make them after a season like that, no?
- neem55

San Jose had a poor season last year. Now they are in the SCF. We aren't quite that good, but it just shows that last season is last season. Next season we could make playoffs again. With a team better built for the playoffs, we could even see round 2. depending on our opponent.

No....#4/5 dmen are depth guys considering you dress 6 or 7 dmen. But nice of you to try and generalize with "top four dmen".

- LeftCoaster

Gudbranson is a#3/4 guy(closer to 4. Not a #4/5 guy.

Remember when Bieksa was here and Sbisa really really sucked ? Gudbrandson played with Slow Foot Wilie for most of his career . Lets see how he does this year.
- VANTEL

Are you suggesting Sbisa is slow? The fact that he can skate is his strong suit.
