Schneider played 3 years of college, then 3 years in the AHL. Ottawa had pretty much given up on Bishop. Goalies take longer. 19 year old Demko isn't going to be like 18 year old Sam Bennett.
I'm just not expecting to see Demko for at least 2 years.

You keep saying Demko is overhyped...by who? Have you ever heard anybody mention he will be on the Canucks next season? He is a great prospect but probably needs two years in the A

I won't complain if we draft Tkachuk, PLD or Brown. They are all likely top 5 forwards a few years down the road. Benning should just take his BPA and ignore the noise from our insecure fanbase

It would make more sense if that was the case.

San Jose had a poor season last year. Now they are in the SCF. We aren't quite that good, but it just shows that last season is last season. Next season we could make playoffs again. With a team better built for the playoffs, we could even see round 2. depending on our opponent.

Aren't quite that good!? Understatement of the year? We are nowhere near San Jose they have one of the best top6's in the NHL, we have one of the worst. This is a non-playoff team, and should be. It was a non-playoff team when we squeeked in and lost to that other non-playoff team two years ago. Be prepared for some tough years, I for one am not going to entertain the delusions. I am excited to see who grows next season, I'm hoping JV is a beast and comes in with 5-10 pounds of muscle on him and for Bo to stay on the uptrend.

I am not saying he will come into the NHL and become our #1 overnight. BUt the hype on him is not an over hype. He will likely be a top 10, possibly top 5 goalie in the league while he is in his mid 20's.

in a posted list the other day of players in recent history and players in this draft, there was ranking by ppg. Crosby and Kane were both in the top 10, ovi, benn, giroux were not....but M tkachuk was also in top 10 at 1.96 ppg.
I dont think you get to the top 10 of that list and dont become an nhl player let alone elite nhl player.

TB would need to overpay by a lot. I'd be thinking something ridiculous that they won't do.

Drouin + 2016 1st + 2016 2nd for 5OA and a dump in Higgins. Anything less and I think Dubois or tkachuk are the way to go.
