Personally, I prefer Duffs. Anyone else??

I'm still trying to figure out why some here think the Sabres need this kid to succeed, I'm sure he's a good player. If it works out great if not, we move on, it's not the end of the world if we don't sign him.

I don't think its a NEED to have him, but he definitely fills the WANT that they have. A young top 6 forward that plays the left side.

It is not the end of the world but he is someone I have targeted since he said he wasn't signing with Nashville. He isn't going to be a ppg player but he can be a difference maker.

I don't think they NEED him to succeed. I'm hopeful that we paid a 3rd round pick in order to get a guy slotted as a Top 6 winger on an ELC - that is a huge win for the organization. Some of those talking about him being arrogant and Lindros-esque are really not grounded in reality. The dude is trying to decide what is best for himself and his situation, if others aren't doing that in their own life (job, relationships, family, etc) then they're the ones who need to reevaluate.

So by your flawless logic, Stamkos would have/ should have signed with Tampa like a year ago instead of stringing teams along. But he didn't. Big whoop. If Vesey does not sign with us ever, all it cost us is one of four third-round picks. Big whoop.
