I wouldn't be surprised if Hudler gets 4m over 2 years. Russell will be this year's franson I think. No idea about Vrbata. - belcherbd
I don't see Hudler getting quite that much, but i have been wrong before.
Agreed on Russel, and Vrbata will sign a $1m/1yr deal is my bet. |

it's not so much a disease, I think as a condition... I don't think science can really pinpoint how and why as yet.. |

Smart kid. He probably looked at the roster and said " I'll need a lot more money than that if you want me to play here"
Maybe he will go back to the Swiss league - VANTEL
If he goes to Russia for 4 years, does he go back into the draft or is he a UFA?? |

I was just reading some comments from another website on the Canucks. Do some of Vans fans and other teams fan, really not understand what JB is doing still. Most of these people seem to be embarrassed that Van is actually going to go out there and to try and win. Edmonton has shown a tear down doesn't work. Toronto media is very good at making whatever Toronto does seem to be right. Get with it already, Vancouver is going to try and win. I said it the rebuild happens every year, it's called the NHL draft. |

People need to understand tear down is done. Only 5 people remain since JBs arrival |

The defense sucked, JB brought in more prospects. Everyone went nuts after the Gudbranson deal. Since the Hall deal they have shut up. They need top six scoring and signed Loui. They recognize they need a top 6 left wing and are looking to trade for one. Still I don't think they are a playoff team, just better than last year. |

It not about not understanding what JB is doing its that it doesn't fit their logic on what is being done. They see those other teams totally dismantle and think to themselves the that is how it is to be done. The goal should be to win as many games as you can each year. Tank is unacceptable in my vocabulary. |

Even if Van does suck again this year, going to add a top player to a team that has players for him to play with. |

Onl Toronto is in tear down mode. Everyone else just sucked or had assests they didn't need. Winning should be the only goal. |

Quotes from JB
“We’d like to add a proven scorer who brings some grit to take the pressure off Sven, so he can keep developing at his own pace,” said Benning. “He took a big step last year and wants to prove to people that he has more to give. But I don’t know where he’s going to end up (next season). At some point, that (second line) is where he’s going to be, but maybe he plays on the third line with the capability of playing on the power play and potentially scoring 15 to 20 goals for us.”
“We’re not moving Jannik,” he stressed. “I thought he was excellent for us last year and with the way the game is going with speed and skill, he fits that description perfectly. And we have him under a good (cap) number the next couple of years, so we’re not looking to do anything.”
Benning said they’ve been talking to some teams about a “hockey trade.” |
