Onl Toronto is in tear down mode. Everyone else just sucked or had assests they didn't need. Winning should be the only goal.

Can you imagine if Canucks went the TO way. They got absolutely trash back in return for Dion and Kessel. We have people here still crying over Garrison for a second .

The signed a slow Dman that they got rid of months earlie as one of their two signings.

They missed out on Stamkos and are having problems signing the player they tanked for last year. To me that franchise is a mess but people still buying the koolaid .

So i guess Sven + Hansen for ?
- Retinalz

In all seriousness I think he really wants to keep Hansen. If he was gonna trade him he would've done it at the draft when his value was highest to grab some more picks.

That's creepy.

Blechrd was talking about getting a Cleveland Steamer yesterday. I talked about my balls tingling and I am the creepy one.

Quotes from JB

“We’d like to add a proven scorer who brings some grit to take the pressure off Sven, so he can keep developing at his own pace,” said Benning. “He took a big step last year and wants to prove to people that he has more to give. But I don’t know where he’s going to end up (next season). At some point, that (second line) is where he’s going to be, but maybe he plays on the third line with the capability of playing on the power play and potentially scoring 15 to 20 goals for us.”

“We’re not moving Jannik,” he stressed. “I thought he was excellent for us last year and with the way the game is going with speed and skill, he fits that description perfectly. And we have him under a good (cap) number the next couple of years, so we’re not looking to do anything.”

Benning said they’ve been talking to some teams about a “hockey trade.”

We don't have anyone to do a hockey trade.

We heard the same thing last year about Gudbrandson. We have the parts , do we want to pay the price?

Not to mention they are having cap issues. To me a rebuild is a minimum 6 year process. A complete tear down, young stars become elite around 23-24 even then you need players around them.

I could see a D for a forward but that's about it unless trading a 1st.

The price will be high enough that everyone complains until training camp. Taylor Hall 2.0

When you go through the roster it is pretty much set for the next 4 + years. It has 14 players under the age of 28. There are pieces on the farm. You can afford to give up one first round pick to bring in a 23 year old big , proven left winger.

I think Edler is putting in time and riding out his contract. I think Tanev is the steadying piece on the young D. I don't see him going.

1st round picks worth more then anything these days. Especially if you don't really know if your going to be good or not.

I would look to get Hoffman out of Ottawa. If we could get him to play a better defensive game he would be money in the bank.

It really depends on the draft and your teams projected finish. Sometime you need to fix now instead of fixing the future.

I don't see him moving . He will be the safety net until Juolevi is ready to lead.
