As far as I'm concerned Kasdorf can be the goaltender. It all matters upfront.

You need to roll 3 lines. Have speed. Have a good top 4 D and an average Goalie can win it for you.

Injuries and luck are all factors as well.

On top of that the only thing in my mind that keeps Lehner from establishing himself as a starting goalie is his health.

We will see what a full summer of rehab and working out with do for him. If he played that well on an ankle that was 80% I am very excited to see what he plays like with an ankle that's 100%.

I call it being cautiously optimistic

Besides health I would say his biggest criticism is that he gets rattled in net rather easily and is not able to shake it off. One of the best attributes to have as a goalie is being able to shake it off if you let in a bad goal. Its fun to have a fiery goalie, but he also needs to keep that in check and not let his emotions get in the way

Unless you have an amazing goalie like a Price all you need is to not have a terrible one. It's like running back in the NFL. If you have AP then great. If not and you have good guys in front of him a decent one will do fine

Baker wants the goalie who is zen and refocuses after every play and goal. I think that's fine for some but if this works for Lehner he can do whatever he wants. All I need is him to stop the pucks enough for us to win. Just don't lose us the game.
