If we miss the postseason, Murray has to go.
He didn't make the Kane, ROR, and Lehner deals to make the playoffs in 2018, sorry. - sbroads24
ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE. He inherits a 52 point team, gets them to 81 points in the first year he's trying to have them improve. So, if he gets the team to 95 points (nearly double from the tank year) and misses out on the playoffs by, say a point, you fire him? Crazy |

right now you need
okposo to net 35
eichel to take over the top line and get 85 points
reinhart to take the next step and be a fringe 70 point player
ennis needs to stay healthy and pop 20 plus and play focused
moulson needs to be moved or a 20 goal scorer
risto to take 2 more steps
lehner to be healthy and a top 10 goalie
bogo to play up to potential
kane to be a fringe 60 point scorer
a lot needs to fall into place - homiedclown
Cup contender if all that was to happen |

Well I have them at 5th behind the caps, pens, lightning, and panthers. And I agree that Okposo and Kulikov don't put us up 10 spots on their own, but when you combine that with Jack, Reinhart, and Risto having a whole nother year of experience its possible.
I'll admit that for my prediction to happen Lehner has to stay healthy and play as well as he is capable of
EDIT: Even if we do finish that high I still think we are a 1st round exit - feetontheair22
One thing to also keep in mind is the schedule, I doubt anyone has looked deep into them. |

I agree, also have to take into consideration that if we miss the playoffs dosent always mean it was our doing. There are some god ones out there. NOw if we Finnish 2nd last in div then maybe |

but if you add that piece or 2, you need guys like fasching on the bottom of your roster
not foligno and girgens making 5 mil plus - homiedclown
Both of those guys are fine on the bottom of the roster IMO. It's when they move up that you have issues. Fasching on that 3rd line would be better though.
2017-18 if they kept Fasching (and he makes it to the NHL) and didn't trade Kane/Ennis. Girgensons and Moulson are both gone. Forwards look good but there's a reason I didn't put in the defense.

Teams around us improved too. Not too many got worse and those that did didn't exactly blow it up. |

Yes. Again, uncontrollable circumstances aside.
If we miss, it's most likely because the moves he's made haven't panned out.
If Okposo plays well, Kane plays well, Lehner plays well, there isn't a reason we should miss |

Sure there are a few reasons we should miss...
Jack gets hurt, ROR gets hurt, Reinhart gets hurt, Risto gets hurt.

My main thing is we were 16th in GA last year with a backup goalie for 50% of the games and Gorges on the top pair. If Lehner is healthy and plays well and Kulikov is at least an upgrade to Gorges (right?) then I don't see how it gets worse. Not saying we'll be a top 10 D corps but 16th in defense with an upgraded offense means that you should be better. |

I've stopped looking at reviews and critiquing movies. I go to movies like this for fun and if you go with that attitude you generally aren't disappointed. - Zschalberg

Baptiste, Catenacci, Carrier, Olofsson, Dupuy, etc etc
We actually have quite a few forward prospects that should at least be ok on the 4th line for us and possibly fill a top9 role at some point |

this shouldnt be shocking. Marvel has slow build characters over various movies until they finally put them in Avengers. DC is trying to play catch up so t hey bum rushed many new characters to the casual comic book fan into 1 movie and expect them to all be universally loved and celebrated,
Harley Quinn and the Joker are the 2 characters that seem to be getting the most praise in the movie...and are the 2 biggest names unless you arent a diehard DC nerd.
Its not a bad movie just that the general public is not adverse with any other characters and their back stories/character traits. - DDM-Coga
I think thats the big thing, if you dont know the back stories or what occurs in the comics DC has really rushed the process so you will find yourself lost at times. |

I'm willing to trade him if Bailey pans out. Bailey is 6' 3", 210 lbs, is fast, and put up good numbers in the AHL. If he plays as a 2nd line player then I can trade Fasching. I don't think he gets traded until the deadline or next year though. He's had like 8 games but he's still very unproven. - Zschalberg
We'll see
Murray doesn't seem like a patient guy
I like Bailey better than Fasching bc of his skating
So I'm hoping Bailey isn't the one moved |
