I'm hearing from sources that Vesey will sign with SC Bern on a 1 year basis and then sign with Las Vegas the following season and he will serve as captain. (E4) |

To be fair, we aren't doomed if they decide to move on from Kane. He played some RW at the end of the year anyways.
Hudler is still out there, and in some ways might even be an upgrade (short term)
Ennis can play all 3 positions
Vesey could sign
Girgensons could play wing

Vesey: Not clearly Boston or Chi-Town. After Aug 15 he can sign (even here) for POTENTIALLY more money (performance bonuses). So he was going to wait either way. |

Brandon Pirri is still out there.
He will produce if he plays with ROR or Eichel.
If he does struggle to score he can slide down the lineup at any forward position.
I think he'd be a good fit in Buf. Fits in age wise with the core there and should be cheap on a 1 year show-me type of deal. |

On Vesey:
1 - I agree that I can't wait for the 15th to get this crap over with so we can move on a make (presumably) the moves we need to make while waiting for him.
2 - Why would he want to go to Chicago? He waits all of this time to pick where he wants to play, and then will be at their mercy in 2 years? They won't be able to pay him (if he plays well) what he'll want then, so he'll either have to sit out in a contract dispute, take a modest tender increase, or be traded to the team that will give Chicago the best return. Just doesn't make sense to me.
3 - I still don't think he signs here, but Chicago just doesn't add up. |

the big thing is that he's been saying all along that those two years are crucial to maximizing his next contract...being in Chicago with that kind of firepower fits right into his plans...I think buffalo wins out over Toronto and boston, but I don't think they can compete with Chicago or even pittsburgh |
