Ends always justify the means. It may be fair to criticize it now, but if the Oilers are significantly better this year, the same people that have been dutch ruddering themselves in anger about it will be wearing kneepads in front of Chia in a years time.

Basically, the rational people are waiting to see how it plays out. The idiots are tightening their helmets as the sky falls.

Several players were guilty be association with the losing culture. Hall was one. Justified or not, something had to give.

So people are holding their penis in one hand, and grabbing their forearm with the other hand, with the express purpose to create a stroking motion so as to ejaculate.

Seems very counter intuitive.

Why aren't they just fondling their genitalia with the second hand while stroking with the first? That seems better to create a more pleasurable experience.

The whole "Stranger" style methods just seem like to much effort to be truly worthwhile.

Teams that dwell in the basement for almost a decade and play in one of the NHLs least desirable cities, are going to get low balled on value for assets and have a very difficult time filling holes through free agency. Therefore, a GM with any balls will make some tough decisions to take a team in the right direction. I suppose if you were a fan of MacT style thumb sitting inaction praying for teenagers to dig you out of the hole, then the Hall trade would make you very angry. Fine. Myself, trading anyone not named Macdavid seemed like a reasonable course of action to me.

I was never against trading Hall. I am against trading him for pennies on the dollar. I'm also against trading prime assets for Reinhart. Against trading Gordon for Korpikoski and then buying him out. Against giving UFAs long term over priced deals with Full NTCs. And on and on.

This isn't just about one bad trade. PC has poop the bed deal after deal. We finished second last again last year. A (frank)ing monkey could make a team with our assets "better".

Oh my.

Guess you just don't realize that teams were not going to give proper value to the Oilers for anyone. This team needs to start winning, to not be so desperate, to get fair value for the assets they will use to fill needed spots.

Hall <-> Larsson was as good as it was gonna get, and I think PC did well to get that.

NYI wasn't trading TH, and they were offering much lesser players for Hall.
Col wanted Hall for Barrie, who is a lesser Dman.

This was the market for the Oilers to deal with.

I thought it was known that PC was trading Gordon for Korpi for money savings, and don't make it sound like the trade was done and LK was immediately bought out.

UFA contracts are again based on the "becasue Oilers" rationale. They need to add MOAR to get guys they want to sign. You know this. All the GMs have had to do it.

Reinhart. I think he was steered into that one. Possible for some owner interference also.

Come on dude, you are better than this, you used to be a good poster, now you are a Matt Henderson raving lunatic poster

IMO the only two strikes against Chia are the Reinhart and Hall trade.
