It's because no one can get in due to excessively long security lines. By the time they have cleared the event is over.

I went to the dealership and one of the salesmen says no you don't want a diesel canyon, the engines are having troubles. He tried to sell me on a jeep patriot then

They usually go prius because they're dirt cheap to operate. I asked a driver in Vancouver what fuel cost him on a typical Friday and he said $7.

What I really like about my Toyota is that I never worry about it when I take it for a long drive. If you do your regular maintenance it runs forever. Something like 95% of 4Runners are still on the road 20 years later.

Problem with the vtec was you need to be revving so high, where a turbo should kick in way earlier. Torque should be higher then HP.
I have no idea about F1 cars. Turbo's do have to be taken care of properly. Allowed to cool after a hard go and such.
If your buying a used Impreza don't get the sti. Just chip it and add in a air intake and such. STI rattles. Go Mitsubishi evo I heard.

My Audi A4 had 170 hp and 185 torque. I put in a stage 1 chip, larger fuel injectors, air intake and turbo inlet hose for $2200 and I got it up to 250 hp and 295 torque. Pretty much the same as the S4 model but the S4 was 8 grand more.

I put Engine management in my Type R Integra and dropped Vtec to 4500 rpm from 5500... worked well. The Turbo and vtec guys leave it then you get an extra valve after the turbo kick

I do think a lot of people did stay away because of fear. It did get a lot of bad press leading up.

A little note on Passats…don't EVER buy them. I have a buddy who is the head VW mechanic at one of the local performance shops and he said that the Passat line of vehicles are for VW to 'experiment' on…so basically they try a lot of new stuff in the Passat line to check failure rates and then apply the good changes to the Jettas and such. Don't ever buy Passats…nothing but lemons.

Yes if you buy the wrong years. There are years to buy that are very reliable and fuel efficient and other years not so much. It pays for sure to research it.

yeah rust is the only issue with all the older yotas .... My Rear quarters need a bit of work but for an off road vehicle I drive once a week or on 4x4 trips it isn't bad. And the truck has never left me in the bush in 8 years of owning it.

The older TDI models were bulletproof.... My parents have owned over 30 VW's from camper vans to a bug....

Trade him. Clearly he's useless. We need to move someone in order to save Gaunce from being stolen in the expansion draft.

I just sold my VW and bought a BMW...great decision. Jettas are garbage. Leaky sunroof and it burst it to flames after 20,000km. $14,000 electrical fire
