I think the thing I hate the most about this is the waiting.
I obviously want him to sign in Buffalo but if he doesn't then lets just move on already.
I think the fact that Murray hasn't made any moves yet is he believes they have a good shot at Vesey. - Stripes77
From what I've read on news sites - as opposed to blogs and comment threads - I think the Sabres DO IN FACT have a very real chance at Vesey.
What that really means, in the end, is a different thing. I mean, let's face it - he's a24 year old kid who hasn't played even at an AHL level yet. He's a highly touted prospect, no doubt, but he's still only a prospect.
Should the whole league be turning itself upside down over this guy? Justin Schultz and his one-year $1.6M contract says no.

There usually isn't too much going on at this point in the off season anyways. Last year only 2 trades occurred during the period of July 28th to Sept 11th.

Last year felt like there was a lot more activity between july 5 and july 28, though. Lots of people believe the league is waiting for Vesey to decide before they move forward with other alternate plans.
Otherwise, its hard to explain Pirri and Hudler still looking for work.

Those two without a doubt are waiting for teams to miss out on Vesey IMO.

There are 15 other collage players that their drafted teams have let their rights expire as of midnight . Vesey being the top prospect of the bunch. So yeah could be more.
