Asplund is a very interesting prospect. He reminds me a little of Derek Plante with maybe a touch less offense. I think he'll be in the NHL in 2 years and if he pans out, we win the trade. He was 16 years old playing in the Swedish pro league. Impressive.

Guys like Ennis & Girgensons, and now Kane, all had their trade value drop- probably significantly
Just doesn't make sense for Murray to sell low on these guys

If there was gonna be a trade,
We'd likely have to include prospects/picks
And we don't need to "overpay" for a guy like Fowler
If it was Lindholm, that's a different story

If we end up losing Larsson & Girgensons to expansion/trade,
I could see him eventually being our 3rd line center

Although I'd still prefer to move Reinhart back there & have 3 scoring lines
Plus...
With the way Sam passes, I could see guys like Moulson or Girgs having a bounce back year, or a guy like Kane improving his shooting %, or even a someone like Larsson or Foligno or Gionta notching a few more goals than he would otherwise

Even if we sign Vesey Kane is here for a while. If we could play Kane on his off wing I might like that. He could be a TD move. And I don't see Girgensons moved either. Play a 3rd line of Girgs at C and Kane on the RW. Why not? Throw Foligno on the LW.

then again girgens should be able to play second line as well
