I am one of the select few 'on the fence' about the new 'temporary' design. I like the gold around the flying P but think the rest is just a tad overkill. This time next year we'll be debating the possibilities of repeating as champs so, eh.

Some folks just can't seem to mentally connect the dots from 50th anniversary (AKA the golden anniversary) to the one-year addition of gold to the color scheme for in-game use 12 times.

I don't think that's it, Bill.

I, and many others understand why they are using gold.

It just doesn't look good.

The jersey is hideous. Gold doesn't go with orange, it should have been kept to a minimum. Not a big deal though, at least I won't be tempted to buy one.
