I think you're right...it grows on you. Overall, I think we need to bring back the Black sweaters. Black is one of our "colors" and not just a fad, or for alternate sweaters, which seem to be en vogue around the league. |

Some of the reactions have been comical. You would think they closed up shop and merged with the Penguins. |

16 and 2/3 years ago we had the majority of people celebrating "the new millenium" despite there being no Year 0.
Hard math is hard. So is understanding terms like "Golden Anniversary," apparently. |

I actually liked them.....something different and fresh....I get the gold coloring but do hope it's only for the 50th anniversary. I too hope again for an all black with Orange lettering....and maybe a Flyer patch on the shoulder....kinda like the old practice jersey's....If company sponsorship is coming some of these jersey's will have to be more simple in nature anyways... |

I kind of like them. I don't love them, I don't hate them. Something different to see for 12 games. |

From the last thread re the new jersey:
Orange, white, black, no other colors needed.
I understand what they were going for, but I just don't like them. At least they'll be gone after this season.

I can live with the gold being just on the patch, I get the whole 50th anniversary thing. It's the rest of the gold that just makes no sense to me and, IMO, is completely unnecessary.

I like them as well. It's not like they use so much gold that you think you are looking at a model from Goldfinger (The old movie us old geezers remember and not the band).
That being said, I detested the blah black jerseys. |

Is this really something worth getting upset over? Some people really need to relax and stay away from social media. The sweater isn't that bad and it's only for this year. |

The gold around the logo looks good and a gold annevesary patch is fine. It's a bit overpowering with the gold numbers etc. because the gold doesn't work very well with orange. So, I think a bit more understated would have been smarter.
That said they're not bad and there have certainly been much worse jerseys in the NHL. |

Agreed.
Also, my wife and I were married in 2011. I don't know if she'll ever forgive me for not getting her a 1-year anniversary gift in 2011. |

Not upset, just stating my opinion. It's not like I'm gonna lose a moment of sleep over a friggin hockey jersey.

After 24+ years of marriage, I've learned that "yes dear" goes a long way.

I prefer "The season after the game where people threw the wristbands on the ice."
Or, PLind could throw the whole thing off and it could be "The season where PLind posted a positive comment about the Flyers." |

What would you say someone should do if they are actually losing sleep over this?...asking for a friend |

Oh, I've had "Yes, dear" down pat for about 10 years. Now it's "Go ask your mother."
