I think they have a shot with or without it. I think it increases if they get a better one, but I don't think it's the deciding factor. For me that's the offense. If they score 0-1 goals in a lot of their games again it'll be hard to win. This team needs to score at least 2 in most of their games and hit that 3+ mark more than they were. If they do that and the defense can't hold their own I'll agree on that needed piece.

Awe there's that Buffalo sports curse, right on time.

Let's see, for the Bills recently: Star wide receiver we paid a heavy price for is out constantly with foot problems. First round pick out with shoulder, second round pick out too, we had a quarterback concuss himself by tripping over a throw rug, and the rest can't put down the dope.

For the Sabres: a goalie we pay a first rounder for snags his foot on the ice and is out half a year, the defenseman we traded for always has groin issues, the other defenseman we traded for gets his back speared in a freak accident, and now our star gets taken out in practice the day before the season opener.

After watching the video maybe it isn't as bad as I feared. He was on his knees so I would think that it isn't a knee injury. Maybe it is "just" a broken ankle?
